Agree on that arshi. Regarding guniyal's action. But marriage is not a solution to her 'pagalpan'. But do agree that guniyal tried enough and it was the best she could do. I was too harsh on her for no reason.

There are too many things to consider here

While marriage under these circumstances is not correct, because kusum is this frame of mind, let's Look at it from Guniyals POV

the second time round too the last minute break up will be a social shame

Kusums problem has no other solution apart from she herself deciding to move on and learning to deal with her feelings

Guniyal is aware of Kumud's tendency of sacrifice and has been worrying about that too

This marriage presents itself as the right solution to achieve all 3. A kusum once married will be morally bound to not look at Saras and will with time love Mohan

And Kumud will be free of the burden of making a terrible choice that will put her life at stake

So she is only focused on somehow shaadi ho jaye to theek ho jayega

in all this poor mohan is getting the short end of the stick...no one thinks of him...this is the guy who fought with his mom and wants to marry kusum despite knowing kumuds history with pramad...and to whom they r palming off kusum because it is convenient to them...

and chandrika bhabhi...her credibility is going to go down the drain whenever truth of kusum comes out...she got this rishta and mohan is from her side of the family...

what is with the desai sisters...incl gunial...?...they more or less think men as commodities. ...to be traded and done settings with in order to protect their behinds in society...first if not saras then pramad then saras for kumud...later if not saras then mohan for kumud...

so yeah...desai ladies come across as pretty ballsy and manipulative too dont they?

My god. I was about to write the same about Mohan. You beat me to it Hgg ji.

I want to add that only Kumud thought about Mohan. Only she can. Thats why I like Kumud. Like Ilaben says she is rare.

But its easy to be objective when it doesnt directly involve you. That said, I give lot of credit to Kumud for saying its not fair to Mohan especially since Guniyal's plan A didnt work. She thought Kusum will get over this and all will be fine. But Kusum is at her obsessive best now. How will she handle her new 'Grihasthi' and Mohan.

Desais do come out sometimes as very self-absorbed in my eyes. Their feelings carry lot of value while others' dont. Its the writer who did a poor job here.

So true Hgg, the one person who is caught in the middle of it all - Chandrika - she has her loyalty to both Desais and Mohan, poor thing

Which is why I feel Guniyal should have taken it seriously from the very start. Esp since she has known all the above Pehle se.

That her daughters are stubborn and can take extreme decisions, her allowing the whole match to go on is now causing all this.

But then I am seeing so many real life parallels here, get the kid married, shaadi ke baad toh theek ho jayega/ jayegi seems to be a very common Indian affliction - not realizing that marriage comes with its own set of problems and challenges and if one of the two is not giving his / her 100% to it, it leads to a lifetime of hell

Again Kumud's example should have been a factor in Gun's mind, she has seen the ugliest side of a forced marriage

But this get the girl married and she will be forced to deal with her problems herself mantra is what has caused this

Bechara Mohan. - he is a decent guy, who has to face both social humiliation and personal heart break because the Desai women - kusum and Guniyal allowed things to come to this .

As a mother Guniyal had a tough call to make and Desais we know, are too close knit and always think of their own , at the cost of others

So true Santhi, the understanding that kusum was pleading for came from Kumud, had it come from Guniyal, maybe things wouldn't have come to such a pass.

Last nights episode showed that what kusum needed was to let it out, and it was eating her up - this whole bottling up of her emotions.

She had her points to make, her personal justifications, while they may be wrong, to her they are right, and she wanted to talk them out, argue her case so as to say

It was an outburst which hopefully will calm her down and help her to put things into perspective and see this situation in a more rational frame do mind.

I loved the way Kumud dealt with it. And her emotional maturity , bas ab she shouldn't start that kismet kahani again

My random ramblings Arshi.

Line of the day today was from Saras - who was at his human self and is hurt. He said, 'waise mere liye yahan koi ummeed nahin hai'.

Kumud is nursing Pramad. She is not thinking about what will happen in future. And how long this will take. Wrt. PRamad what does she want. Is she waiting for him to die? Or waiting for him to get better and move away. Right now nothing. She just wanted to wait for Kusum's wedding to be done. Now that is ending. Will she kick Pramad out now?

Today it was Saras's self speaking. Though the trigger was Danny's hurt. What should Saras do? Go with the flow like he has been doing all these days? Wait indefinitely?

Kumud --- She got into this Pramad's mess on her own. And her forgiving Pramad opened up this possibility. But this shocker from Kusum must have been devastating. A terrible feeling for a woman. The way she had to run around explaining everyone. Miserable it must have felt. And she would not have guessed this possibility at all. The way she tried to bring sense into Kusum was very meaningful.

Today, Pramad did try to tell to VC about Kusum not being happy with the marriage. This was after Kalika told him about Kusum's love for Saras. Was Prmad hoping to get Saras and Kusum get married off.

Oh, when will this Kusum Track and Pramad Track end. Really.

Do u think We will see Kusum's marriage this week. I do not care whom she marries as long as it is not Saras.

I loved the Saras outburst, so true it was, his line that specially touched my heart - I am still alive after seeing you with pramaad, but I don't want Danny to face the same pain - goes to show how much in pain Saras is , and also how strong he is.

The problem with both these duffers is that they cannot build their life on others pain

Saras realizing that maybe pramaad really loves Kumud is eating him up,

And now this kusum angle - Kumud will not be able to think of herself and Saras together because of kusum and she will look at pramaad's goodness and love and kusums love as another ishara of kismet

Why oh why can't she realise that the real kismet ka ishara is that she belongs with Saras , and Saras with her!

I think that pramaad was hoping that somehow somewhere the family will push for Saras kusum marriage

He had an ulterior motive to it

I don't think we will see kusum Mohan marriage, but I don't even see Saras kusum marriage

A and I don't want to see Danny kusum marriage - I don't know how cvs will unravel this mess and I am quite looking forward to it .

This week and next week should be very interesting
