Ivy, if there are two directors, how do they work? Independently, they divide the episodes among themselves?

Or they divide scenes of a single episode? Won't there be a lead director and a co-director who works with the main director so that there are no inconsistencies ?

If there are two independent directors - how do they bring in uniformity of style then?

Arshi ji, producers traditionally bring in new directors to keep their shows 'fresh'... While one director may have a flair for helming dramatic episodes, the other might excel at the romance or comedy genre... So, it is fairly probable that both sequences in an epi or the bulk of epi's might be divvied up between the two.

The above has mainly been used for different 'tracks' in the show. Director X might be roped in to helm 15 episodes of a major tear-jerker track, and Y might be roped in for the same number of romantic/comedy epi's in a light-hearted track. Both are working from a single Master script tho, and as long as the Producer keeps a close eye on the evolving day-to-day product, a sense of consistency can be easily maintained.

However, in the case of SC, if every man is for himself, then epi's will appeal in bursts or sparks i.e. in terms of scenes and sequence, rather than as a whole. And with a lot such as our executive SC team, who cares about unncessary matters like uniformity of style... They are only concerned with churning out episodes... Iss liye milta hai, kabhi bakwas, toh kabhi wah-wah... The onus is on directors and given free rein they will stamp their 'vision'...

If the two director's styles are markedly different, you will witness so in the show itself, where comparing two consecutive epi's side to side is hardly going to make any sense at all 😳

Everyone was sitting n saras was the only one standing. Desais didn't show courtesy. Saras was standing there full of guilt.
Paschaattaap se bada prayaschit nahin hai. Usne prayaschit hi nahin bahut kuch kiya. Desais ke liye kya kya nahin kiya in return for the apnapan they showed. And now for prayaschit he is helping them via danny.

Similarly in pehle pyar's show, AK did romance and LM the TRP wala dramatic ones. I think each episode has scenes directed by both.

Not only that Santhi, what really really got me angry yesterday was that this same pramaad has insulted and humiliated kumi day after day, yet he is forgiven and treated like royalty, because he was kind enough to marry their daughter.

Yet the man who has completely dedicated his life to them and their daughter still has to put up with this behavior. The double standards of Desais are appalling

The poor man has done both - pashchatap and prayshchit, yet he doesn't even get basic courtesy

Can we figure out who directed which scene? Or is that not really possible and easy to determine?

aha, this is so exc...citing! Pramad being murderous to Kumud is a great reason for dikra to always be hanging around as bodyguard.. so we are not deprived of the few watchable moments in this show! Plus, TRP aunties who are affronted by ethics of his presence (?!) can always console themselves saying if not for dikra, Kumud would be dead several times over by now...

What wd be even more exciting wd be if Pramaad's plans for removing Kumud "boomerang" and come back to hit him, maybe the pillar-equivalent will fall on him instead,... Then the wood will come in real handy...😊

Well, we can isolate AK's parts Arshi ji, because he has a distinctive style that stands out from the clutter. AK might have been roped in for Saras-Kumud, Danny-Kumari scenes esp? But the next 7 days, as per WU, promises to be sorta a race against time for Desai's, with Umess back and legally threatening eviction... So the new director may have been brought in to share the upped dramatic 'load' perhaps... It is always easy to distinguish an 'auteur's stamp' =)

Edit: Nandy ji, that means AK is kinda the resident-romance-specialist for a show. As such he won't be 'helming' but more lending his 'signature touch' perhaps, while the new director will be more TRP focused and will follow CV's script to the letter, maybe. The coming episodes will make it more clearer. It would pay but to keep a watch on the credits from henceforth =)
