So Arshi, I watched. Jaanu ji's "butter-hair" bit made me all curious. Can I just say I don't want Kumud to come running back to Saras when Pramad shows his true colors. And Stupid Saint Saras better not take her back either. I just want Saras outta that house & away from the clutches of the Sundari sisters, because proximity to them cancels all his intelligence. Pramad's winning "throw" on Kumud's face was nothing less than a determined slap. The fact that she literally grinned & bore it. Another nail on the coffin of Kumudsundari. That of the original characterisation.

GR, seems to be sleepwalking through his lines. I won't blame him. He is not cut out for the mediocre and SC is straddling the below par line these days. Aanshul lacks expressions, bring something to the table to justify your unwarranted screenspace man. And Jennifer, whoever's responsible, do something about that hair please, ASAP 😲

My own dabbling in theatre has taught me that in order to emote well you have to identify with the character , believe in him/her, think like him/her and that's how you will portray them with conviction.

I doubt if GR himself is able to relate to Saras and his having become an accomplice in Kumud Dahan.

My rant for today :

When he saw pramaad hitting Kumud with that cushion and then reassuringly smiled at her, did he not remember Saraswati?

Did he not worry that the same consequence will befall Kumud in a much worse way, for his dad's crime if I may call it that was in fact much lesser than that of pramaad.

An ambitious selfish man, who succumbed to the wiles of Guman and ignored his wife, but still not an alcoholic, a wife beater and moreover a man who was true to Guman thereafter, married and gave her the respect and status of a wife, even that was so humiliating to Saraswati that she took her own life.

And that was so unforgiveable for Saras that he walked out on his life and turned his back on his love.

By today supporting Kumud in trying to win over a man much worse, is he not also in a way desecrating his mothers memory, and conveying that she should have stuck on with his father, continued to be a 'good' wife?

Or is the message that since once married only death can save a woman from the clutches of a bad marriage, pati sudhar is only alternative a woman can take?

Why are the two examples of his ma and Mai not giving him strength to oppose Kumud's decision to reform pramaad?

Why this brain dead brainless Saras?

@Arshics:
What's with the November deadline?!

Aside:

The writers want to dramatize reality! That's what's happening to SC. They don't really go in depth about preserving moral values. Yes, a guy like Pramad may transform into a better person, but it's solely not a wife's responsibility to make that happen fruitfully. P's parents and sister have been living under a rock all those years he's been having an affair with Kalika. I mean, how realistic is that? If so, how can a mother be blissfully oblivious to the needs of a disturbed child? The show has destroyed the meaning of true love and motherhood, if you ask me.

How much low can this show go ? So finally Kusum gets the kamarband and Saras feels Kusum is becoming like Kumud, who asked for all these hints ? Anyways all rubbish is shown, why not show Saras and Kusum together, no one is going to cry on it. And now everything is fine with everyone, all are happy. We got to see a Kushi Kushi pariwaar where the only daiyan is Kalika. Kumud is already a lost case, now I don't see anything left in Saras and Pramad's characters as well. I really feel bad for the actors who thought they were going to act in "Saraswathichandra".

Wise decision Kaadal, for the khichadi of SC is unpalatable anyway.

But tbh, the Saras kusum scene was the only one that was slightly decent. Rest was all hypocrisy and regressive attitudes being celebrated on the birthday of Krishna who was so unconventional himself, who was not a believer in rigid social norms at all.

I am reading Palace of illusions and somehow, SC keeps interfering with my reading, esp whenever Krishna makes an appearance and then I cringe at how the name of Krishna is being used to send messages which He even 7000 years ago would not have condoned, let alone today.

So true, tryforceful, in fact it's not the wife's responsibility at all, she can work on making her marriage work but she also has a responsibility to protect her own dignity, and to not accept abuse.

Pramaads mother and father - the less said about them the better - the years of mess that they made, they found a bahu and are very proud of their smart choice for now it's her duty to undo the damage.

You are right in saying that it has destroyed the true meaning of love

Hi!

I meant the deadline. About the show's extension till November. Sorry that was a bit ambiguous. Thanks in advance!

What's not to like???

This was a perfect episode...

- fantastic high tension scene...finally daaru replaced by chaas...and that note stuck to the bottom...super...who would have thunk it!

- loved the sit-down musical chairs adaptation...throwing the pillows...super...wished there was an antakshari too!

- kalika finally getting the evidence...was full on suspense all through...will she wont she find it!

- pretty kusum and poor saras convo...she really feels his hurt...wish they become a jodi!

There...my TRP aunty perspective done...😉

Jokes aside...the show sinks to further depths..

1) did not like the kusum - saras convo...she has forgiven him (without knowing anything!!)...the kamabandh is now on her waist...she now calls him saras...

2) bored out of my mind on the silly game they played

3) kumud is now looking more and more each day like the glossy, plastic, factory seembled pati-vrata long suffering wife of any other serial...

4) stupid daaru - chaas switcheroo ...

5) illogical earrings bit

There was a first for me yesterday...started channel surfing when the epi was going on...never happened till now!

Faint glimmer of hope on the story - basis spoilers:
- Pramad is unchanged, kalika is on track ...so we may go back to original story...
- when pramad wants to consummate...kumud may run away and go to saras / realize her true feelings for saras..
- but kusum would already have indicated that she and naveen are a couple...so like the story
they remain together..

But fo course...the new PH will do this in its ham-handed way

Hgg, aapke charan kahan hain!!

Yeh bhajan pe passing the parcel wala game, Pramaad ki jeet, chaas pe amma ki Khushi, aur beta bahu ka saath main gopal ko jhootha karna - kitna achcha sanskari parivar hai

Aur yeh sab ho raha hai bahu Kumud aur beta Navin ki wajah se

Aate hi jadoo kar diya bahu rani ne

Jis kaam ke liye chuna tha woh kar dikhaya

Aur forum wale abhi bhi kisi purani ghisi piti kahani ko pakad ke baithe hain

Nayi soch ki samajh nahi hai inhe
