Should be a change from the orginal story

So garner wider audience, they need to first of all start promoting this show by showing more promos. Also, bring in twists and turns. SLB made a huge mistake by saying he is making the show based on the book. It certainly is not close to the book, so might as well depart from the original story line and make it interesting so that even people who have read the book are interested in knowing what happens in this version.

I read somewhere that SLB is at loggerheads with teh channel hence Star Plus is not doing much to promote this show. SLB first of all needs to mend that, because he alone can't do anything to bring up the TRP's. Promos need to be shot, SBB/SBS segments need to be dnoe more frequently, keeping an air of mystery of the coming tracks, more interviews with such a talented star cast should be done. They have to keep this show in the news to garner attention.

Instead, there are barely any interesting promos shot, the leads are not put in the limelight often, SBB and SBS segments are rare and even at events, SP does not promote this show or the lead jodi.

As stupid as it may be for a show to succeed, today's formula is not only a twist and turn story, but also a great lead jodi. Shows like these are mainly watched by women, and younger women really watch the show for good looking leads and super romantic jodi. SC has both, but the actors are not promoted in that way. So many people watch Qubool hai because they love KSG, story gayi bhaad mein. Or for same reason Pavitra Rishta, because of Rithvik. People go gaga over SBB segments of Rithvik and Asha ( lead couple) and KSG and Surbhi and this is how due to their offscreen chemistry it translates on to the show and more fans that way. It is just reality of how this works right now.

BUT sadly Jennifer and Gautam get barely any segments, plus no promotions, no events together as a jodi. They did not even perforum at the awards. How is someone to take interest in a love story, where the leads are barely together? Older women will watch SC for a good story line, which is also going at such a slow pace right now. They need to amp it big time on all tehse counts and then TRP's will shoot up itself.

The makers are following the novel, they called off that wedding, despite the fact that so many viewers were upset. Now, if that strong headed kumud decides that she is just not interested in Saras anymore, and continues to stay by her abusive hubby, and sugary in- laws, what can we do.

However, if the makers continue showing Saras-kumud apart and so cold for a long time, the audience may tend to forget their romance. Kumud cannot cheat on her hubby, so we cannot expect more unless Pramad is dead. Widow Kumud may have an option to be with Saras, provided she is willing to give him another chance (white chunni significance). This will be a modern age twist.

The rate at which the story is moving, it may take quite sometime for samud romance ( cos she is now a married woman). Honestly, I have given up to see Samud romance, may be that's the reason I am not expecting much.

If the makers again decide to ignore the viewers and follow the novel, there is a possibility of a Saras-kusum Jodi ( correct me if I am wrong- according to the novel, widowed Kumud refuses to marry Saras, and requests him to marry Kusum). Kusum has been his fan right, since day 1 and does have a soft corner for Saras. The makers may create such a story line where audience will start luving the new Jodi. They can make the viewers like kusum. This can give them a reason to show romance and whatever they want.

At this time hard to predict what will happen. What the makers plan?

That is why I feel, that if they are making this show based on today's times, Kumud does not have to :

1) Take abuse like a subservient wife/daughter-in-law

2) Be a widow that cannot re-marry

3) Forces Saras to marry Kusum, instead

Today, they need to show Kumud a stronger character, who does not give in to her situation, but rather fights it. Nor when PRamad dies, she needs to be a widow who cannot live her life again and re-marry. Hence, It would only make sense to unite Saras and Kumud.

So I think here the makers mixed up things.

I am not a fan of any actor/actress per se, but I do know a lot of young people watch shows only for their fav TV hunk or actress. They don;t care much except for romantic sequences and chemistry on the shows, with no interest in a real story. Hence I mentioned the KSG example. I have nothing against him, I just know he has a large fan following and hence people watch his show, even if they don't care for the story.

I found my reson to watch it.

I think two sisters romancing same guy is a twisted plot which is rampant in Ekta Kapoor. In the book, he simply lands up with Kusum as a matter of circumstance and there is no romance sequence in the book between them.

In the show, for them to portray Saras romancing Kusum after a Kumud becomes a widow is strictly nonsensical and disgusting. This show harps on some epic love story between Kumud and Saras and simply getting her sister as a third wheel in their life doesn't make sense at all. He can move on if he likes, but with a non-related girl. Not with Kumud's own sister, who has called him jeejaji and bhai through the show.
