Totally am with you on your post...
My take on Kumud;s interactions and behavior with Saras is she is blaming him for his mistake of breaking up the wedding night before and her decision to marry Pramad which turned out to be a disaster..
Her mentioning of Saras hurting and betraying him twice is incorrect.
First time when he said NO to the Rishta because he did not want to marry..had nothing to do with Kumud or her face or her family..He was not ready or interested in marriage.
Yes I blame him and was extremely angry with Saras the way he broke off their wedding the night b4..Immature, hasty, inconsiderate and cruel. No matter how much pain he was in he could have simply talked to Kumud and her parents and they would have helped..
At that point I felt Saras was not good for any one for relationship or marriage..He has a baggage which needs to be dealt with b4 he can make any commitment for marriage. or Love
Kumud character has flip flopped IMHO.
I like GR and his acting, emoting ⭐️ his dialogue delivery so clear, precise and full of emotions what ever it may be he needs to carry out.
Kumud is OK..I find her dialogue delivery monotonous at times, her neck muscles are pulled way too much...something she should watch and pay attention to make correction..
SC This week has been bit boring for me.
I don't like Alag's speech or dialogue delivery either.
I find the whole Dharmadhikari family to be dysfunctional.
BTW your mom is right..The SC novel and movie I learned, read and watched during my youth is different...Younger generation can enjoy SLB glamerous version I am sure 😛
I feel the cast has been good. All the actors chosen are really fitting well ...
I love Guman and Pramad 😉They are doing well with their characters.

Hi varsha di! :) :) So good to see you here!

I agree on Kumud. She is a confusing character, because at one point she has too much pride and ego when she hates Saras simply for rejecting her without seeing her face and next you see her crying buckets out and accepting the abusive husband as her fate.

I never understood her hate for a man who rejected her. Wasn't it better that he had not seen her and then rejected her because she did not appeal to him. He kept repeating that he rejected the rishta not rejected her. But she kept on that drill for god knows how long. It was really stupid and too snooty to me.

I don't like Alak either. A woman political leader would be so strong and her dialogue delivery would be so iimpactful. Instead she lacks in even her body language as a strong woman, she slouches and even in her dialogue delivery she drags.

Loved Guman for her acting. And Pramad is very good, infact I look forward to his scenes cuz he acts so well.

Let us see what they do with teh show. SLB needs to step it up. It seems TRP's are falling and show might go off air despite such a good cast. :)

till then, It is better for me to watch this than the EK nonsense being churned out! hahaaa

Wonderful post and beautifully written...
I started watching this show for SLB, but then continued with it because I was impressed with Gautam Rode's portrayal of SC...and even now I watch it for him mainly...

You have written my thoughts on this show.
After 3 years i am watching an hindi serial and that too started watching for SLB. I had never seen GR act in any serial neither jenny only watched them anchoring. So started watching show. I knew story so wanted to see how any guy can act so idealist in 21st century. But GR bowled me and my family over with his brilliant take on SC so much so that we started thinking if there was an real saras he would be like GR only. Jenny was good but looked not involved in many scenes.
I liked Dukhba and LNV too both with GR had good scenes and their relationship could have been developed further but somehow the story has been jarring and fast paced. Many answers are unanswered and scene ends abruptly. Now LNV, Ghuman and Danny have disappeared. What are they doing or thinking not shown at all. And they spoiled saras character by showing him and kumud spending a night together. The aim of novel was to show how one person SC loves someone without any expectations all life. By showing that scene SC no longer looks like a idealist person.
Hope the show will correct its flaws and become a classic like the novel.
