The kicking and screaming ain't over yet happychappy... Koi ekk mauka toh de, we will run off from Buddhi Dhan's scary mansion carrying our beloved Saras and Kumud, faster than you can say "Saraswatichandra" 😆
Truly, the subtleness of SC is what appeals to me and as you say, sets it apart... This being my first desi show, I was warned and told of the horror stories regarding script, aesthetics and continuity... The endless slow-mo's, the ad nauseam flashbacks, the jarring background score... But I had faith in the SLB touch, and that seems to have paid off... For that I'm a HappyViewer... 😃Btw, did you notice the back to status quo, regarding Kumari and Dukh ba/Dugba today? As long as Kumud is in the picture, Kumari comes second best... How is Badi Maa ever going to forgive her daughter for her untimely dalliance with Umess... And how will Kumari forgive herself? I wanted Kusum to be a part of the phone convo, her not being present there set off red flags, I dunno why... Grooming her to be the next Kumud, are you Desai's?
arshi..
so our theory working out...kumud learning to be a beta and saras learning to be an alpha (he was almost cocky when he went through the blueprints).
also Iviewer will be happy...cause kumud behaved like a beta when she spoke to her parents but exactly like an alpha when she confronted pramad...
Despite their love for each other...not explicitly mentioned to each other by each other after saras telephone call...now both feel that they have burnt their bridges and have their backs to the wall / there is no other option... and that is forcing them to move out of their comfort zones (inherent natures) in order to deal with the situations they find themselves...so their journey of maturity has started..
BD, Alak & her hubby...reminds me so much of the relationship between Nehru, Indira Gandhi & Feroze Gandhi...
So story is now following the novel without major variations...saras becomes naveen, the young devar (who screws up saras-kumud marriage in the end) intoduced, kusum getting prominence, alak & saras, kalika (the one who will expose saras-kumud at sometime)...
let's see what the future holds..

That's good one...An interesting trivia...all three daughters of Nehru clan ( two sisters, daughter)- all alpha- were married to Gujarati; Vijay Laxmi Pandit, Krishna Hathisingh, Indira Gandhi.😆

Allow me to digress a bit: Referring to the previous CB, I entirely second you, Arshi... Names are v crucial, smrth bhai... And meri hindi bahut hi kamzor hai... I can write hindi words, in english, but my diction is laughable... I find it hard to understand as well... So consider this an open invitation to correct, at any time 😳 First question, thus: Is it Dukh ba... Or Dugba? Also does the baby BIL have a name yet? And yes, Kalika it is, thank you Aanshul Trivedi for being slow and precise with the name.

...but we gujjus always tend to think of Parsis as our extended cousins...which they actually are in some sense...Parsis fleeing persecution were first given shelter in Sanjan in Gujarat...their holiest sacred shrine which has the eternal fire burning since time immemorial (kept alive from Persia all through their escape by boat to Gujarat) was consecrated at Sanjan and is still present...the language is common...a lot of surnames are common...Mehta, Gandhi, Shroff, Desai etc...
😊
some more amazing trivia ...Old Iranian / Persian (Parsi) mythology is similar & sometimes absolutely reverse of Hindu mythology...
Their Supreme Deity is called Ahura Mazda..other deities were Mithra, Anahita & Varuna...
Mazda in Old Iranian / Persian derives from the Sanskrit 'Medha' which means Wise..
In their mythology, the good guys are Ahuras and bad guys are Daevas...
In our mythology, the good guys are Devas and bad guys are Asuras.. :-)
..Both the religions trace their roots going back to thousands of years BC...indicating that in the long distant past ...there was a common Indo - Iranian culture...which then possibly broke up into 2 stream..one stream migrated West to South Asia and one migrated East to Iran (Persia) & Middle East (Assyria, Babylon, Jerusalem, Egypt) etc...
