First of all, welcome to our forum, April! 🤗

As a personal opinion... I don't watch Hindi shows. At all. I used to watch a little bit of a programme here or there while my Mum caught up on her daily soap, or while I was flipping through channels, and made a face of distaste because I didn't find anything particularly interesting.

But this show.. I admit, it's had it's downs... it's pretty good. I haven't willingly stopped watching the show, and when I missed a few episodes, I would catch up. It's really interesting, and you'll definitely get emotionally attached to the characters. The dialogues are excellently written, the sets are very beautiful, costumes, lighting... it's all very magical. The actors are also extremely commendable. I think you should give it a shot, personally! 👍🏼

Thanks.
I'm on break so I should be able to watch at least most of the episode.
I don't want tv soaps either. The only one I did was geet because gurmeet/drashti were an amazing couple. I tried others like MB but didn't like it.
This show seems promising. I read somewhere that it actually sticks to its story so it is on my good list.

Forgot to introduce myself.. my apologies.. I'm Veera 😳

We're at episode 101 right now... not that bad for catching up 😆

I'm not sure about Geet or MB, I hadn't heard of them until one of my good friends, Toni, told me about them. So I don't know how I'll be able to compare them to be honest with you! 😊

But seriously, this show's actually worth the watch. And if you're a literature junkie like me, and many of our fellow forum members, you'll appreciate the motifs, themes, and devices used in the show. And to be honest, it really does touch the soul. It's very personable... just like our lead pair. The average man and woman can relate to Saras and Kumud, which is pretty awesome considering the common glamour of the small screen. It's indeed promising! It delivered to my demands, and I'm really hard to please! I hope I've been able to help! Good luck, and I hope to see you around here again soon! 😊 😃

Thank you for the help. And yes I'm definitely an avid reader.😃Love reading literature but don't like crappy themed books on vampires and such.
And I hate it how now shows is centered around rich people with their expensive clothes and etc. I completely don't relate to them at all.

And BTW I'm Divya 😊 .
Thx again.

Hey April,
Welcome to the forum.
Highly recommend it. It's my first hindi show after really a long long time. Watch the first episode, (like I did) and am sure you gonna get watching the others. There are a few episodes here and there where you may think the story is a bit slow. Well you can FF them, if you like.

I noticed that this show does not encourage overacting by its cast. They are dressed like normal people and not like they are attending a wedding party. Except, the lead actress open back is a bit off and so that affects her representation of a small town girl.
You will not experience those dialogue echo, like " mein aa raga hoon" being repeated over and over again.
Enjoy.
