Arshi, I loved it, too, and I would give Jen 10/10, as well as Gautam!

Have surprised myself by becoming battle-hardened in two days flat... Got used to seeing Saras and Kumud in misery and tears... Wise folk on this forum told me I shd distinguish between real life and TV shows!! Having learnt this hard lesson, can now watch without having to look from between my fingers😕 Standing ovation for Gautam and Jen, again! All events conspiring against Saras and Kumud, including their own selves!

Your song tonight is so sad and true... Sanam, bewafaa indeed!

However, TBH, my sympathies are still with Saras...Do VC, Guniyal, Dugba, not even Kumud, consider why Saras left his home? Why LN says his son is as good a stead to him? Can they not sense any trauma behind his phone call? Especially Kumud who is the only one to know that Saras was actually in the haveli just two nights ago just to see her for a few minutes??!!

Gooman getting Dannyboy out of harms way seemed very pat... Does he leave the haveli without coming to know about the shaadi that is not to be? Will anybody at all talk to Sunny? Will Sunny let Saras travel alone to RN? (maybe Gooman will spring a trap for him as well)

okay,okay... Every day, one day at a time.. And No Questions! no questions at all😕

The fact that we have such strong feelings against Saras, yet are ready to forgive him, no, dying to forgive him, as soon as he changes his decision, all credit to Gauti!

And yes, Jen - awesome too! Just felt to depict this state of mind as gauti's - a really tough job, but yes, it's a tough call, both superb

As others mentioned even I'll give Jen the highest marks I can for this(and the fri) epi..She made my heart cry. Her pain was unbearable her pleadings, her wrath, her desperation, her tears all this just screamed of her misery. I loved how she first tried to make him understand her point by talking bout their love, then the duhai, name of family and at the end it was a mixture all of it which spoke of her desperation. She screamed on the phone even agter he hanged up on her. Her way of handling herself, thinking of those times(Joothe vaade), wiping her tears to prepare herself to face her family..all this just broke me completely. Her howl of him being ineligible for her was nothing but an example of her desparation for his love. Saam daam dand bedh..that's what she's trying but sadly her efforts are going to take her to nothing but doom and despair!

These episodes deserve 10/10. Sure it has negativity but I can't take points away from otherwise a pretty flawless and extremely impactful episode. I missed the old VC though.

Very excited to see how it shapes from here. Kumud is unforgiving and I LOVE THAT1

The episodes have been excellent, top notch in control, high intensity but not decended into histrionics, and performance from leads - par excellence

Thank you so much, for putting my feelings into words, this is the rage I have been feeling, but not finding words

Her reaction - very very natural, he has as you said, dismissed everything between them, and she would be hurt, angry, upset, devastated all at the same time!

Sorry arshi, I am not coherent perhaps. Just rambled as episode finished and saw CB...would come and compare some major deviation in charecterization- here and there.

So true, my heart really cried for her, she was awesome, the episode was very well executed, and Kumud's reaction - very well depicted.

Not just her tears Arshi.. the body language, legs and hands shaking.. clutching on to the phone in desperation like a lifeline.. was brilliantly done.. Agree with Smrth and Reemz, Jen deserves a big round applause.. and today was definitely her day.. Gautam played his part well , coz he made me angry.. thats exactly how it was supposed to be but Jen stood out

Based on whatever little I managed to see, I can only say that from hereon whatever Saras does to make up for the blunder he made, he will have to live with the stigma of being an escapist for his entire life... very sad indeed.. For a morally strong character like him, to fall from his own standards.. I was thinking about the day Guniyal looked at him with so much pride and faith in her eyes, when he shielded Kumud from Guman's false allegations.. Today that trust is broken... Imagine the pain of the father who has to see his daughter in that condition? his heart must have bled today... and I can not even begin to imagine what that poor girl is going through.. I don't know how people can have a heart to blame her... what did she not do to make him hear her? what is she supposed to do if he has nothing other than his own misery to talk about.. I couldn't believe he actually hung up on her saying ''ho sake tau mujhe maaf kar do'' Glad Sunny woke him up from his slumber.. though I was expecting the dialogues to be more hard hitting and crisp.. Only the last line about him doing exactly what his father did , worked for me.. maybe coz I had so much in my mind to say to him..

Will come back later.. :)

The post PMS convo with Guniyal, the public proposal, all sound hollow now, empty words, and he will have to bear this cross for ever

She tried hard to reach out to him, tell him that she is there for him, but he is too absorbed in his own misery, I can't fault her reactions at all Vaishali

ArshiC,
That Jenny, she made one sad and angry today. Angry on the cowardice- who is so seeped into self pity that he has even temerity to call his outright renege as an act of faith! Even a 'favour'!! What is he reckoning himself? A High martyr?? Sunny was so right today! When Saras is accusing his father of a betrayal, what he himself was doing? What right does he have to call off a relationship so unilaterally? So he is thinking himself 'dead' alive? Does it give him a license to turn other person alive 'dead'? He actually thinks, she would have other chance? Which chance? Another marriage? So he thinks 'they are not married'??? And so what was that? A casual fling? Gratification of all kind of 'ehsaas'? Does he not have an iota of moral left? She should have another marriage?? Where she is already married- mind, body and soul? How can he even think that she would ever be able to truly honest to other person? And consequently to herself? A worst curse- feeling dishonest to one's own self! constantly, continuously and without respite. He is taking away from her a sense of integrity. And still here, she has not even right to murmur, ' he is not worthy of the devotion! First time thinking, perhaps 'end' might not so incongruous after all.

I agree with every word here, Smrth, but...

Saras is not his right mind, that does happen to people, we are all more fragile than we like to think!

Kumud has a whole family's shoulders to lean on, Saras just has Sunny

She is definitely less fragile than him, has always been, and clearly knows how to deal with the shock, when he clearly does not know...

I always look forward to your posts even though I might not comment on them regularly (I'm lazy as hell).. Sometimes when I'm disappointed with an episode, your crispy bytes make me look at it from a different perspective and enjoy the episode. And today, I whole-heartedly agree with your analysis.. Word for word..

Everyone keeps comparing this show to HDDCS.. But I think its more of Devdas than HDDCS.. A distraught Devdas arguing with his father and leaving his house and a desperately in love Paro behind who went against all societal norms just to be with him.. If Devdas sent Paro a letter asking her to forget they ever had any feelings for each other and let all the questions she's asked him remain unanswered, Saras called off their wedding over the phone in the blind distress of the moment.. Again, leaving all of Kumud's questions unanswered.. Like Kumud said.. "Uske paas koi jawab nahi hai.."

In Devdas, Dev returns to watch his Paro getting married to someone else.. And here too, if the spoilers are right, Saras will watch Kumud getting married..

Do I feel Saras is at fault? Yes. Agreed that he is distraught, broken from within, thrown back into the pitch darkness of his past.. The first time he rejected the proposal, I did not have any complaints against him.. He realized his insecurities and was willing to admit his commitment phobia.. But this time round.. I feel its unforgivable.. He knows he can reach out from the pitch blackness surrounding him and he'll find Kumud there.. To bring him back to life.. Yet, not once, did he think of confessing his fears and insecurities her.. He made commitments to her.. Made promises and wove dreams for her.. He had no qualms even in consummating his relationship with her because he loved her so deeply.. Yet at the first knock of his past on his door, he let go of her hand and shut himself off...

I am so glad Sunny held a mirror in front of him and showed him how he was doing exactly what his dad was doing.. All my applause goes to Sunny today..

As for Kumud.. I must say, it really broke my heart to watch her today.. Like you said, she begged, she pleaded, she even begged in the name of her family but Saras was too surrounded by his own misery to see any of it.. I am going to draw a parallel to Devdas again.. Paro waited 12 years for Devdas, loved him beyond love yet he rejected her.. But Paro was not the kind to wallow in her misery.. Neither is Kumud.. She always placed her family and her family's honor above all else.. Whether it be when he first rejected the proposal (she asked him to come say it in front of her family), when they consummated their relationship (she was more distraught at having betrayed her family's trust than having experienced the most beautiful moment of her life) and again, she won't let her family be slighted like this.. Which is why her decision to get married on the same day is in line with her character..

If for Saras, his mother and his past has always taken precedence over everything else, for Kumud, her family gets priority over everything else..

It was a critical juncture..

Saras chose his past and Kumud chose her future..

I am sure.. They both will probably regret their decisions later on but for now.. Their paths are separate.. Maybe parallel but separate nevertheless..

I also have to mention, Guman ke dus chote vaar khaali gaye tho kya? Ek sahi chaal sahi time pe aisi chalayi ki sab kuch bikhar gaya.. I thought she was a very ineffectual vamp till now but kya baazi kheli hai Guman ne iss baar... Ek hi chaal mein saari kahani hi palat gayi..
