Agreed! Am watching it for the adaptation of the original story and if they eff that up in any way, then I'm out. But I ain't jumping ship just yet... I also agree with McDarcyfan, Saraswatichandra, the novel, does not apply in this day and age, and not after some other things which have already been shown in the story. I am hoping for a contemporary, fresh take on the premise and I will not watch it for a rehash of HDDCS on the small-screen either 😕

I agree! If they separate for good or worse still in the end Saras marries Kusum (as per the novel), then the whole thing would be a shocking mess!
The message would be no matter how true your love, you just might end up marrying other people and its OK?? How can that be a love saga? Kumud becomes a widow and Saras marries her sister! It just seems like cheating the audience with a totally hopeless story! After all, what applies in that old book re the re marriage of widows don't apply in this day and age! To suggest or to propagate it in any way will send such a backward and negative message to the audience!

It's not going to send a wrong message...it's just showing the fact that life doesn't go as planned as we think. In fact, I'm glad the separation is happening..The separation just proves their love is eternal and pure...the message in dark gloomy love stories impacts the audience more and makes them love the love story all the more. Plus when Saras and Kumud are seperated from each other, the love story will be more intense...they will be far, but not far enough...and close too, but not close enough..the tension will be oozing! Sure yes Saras and Kumud consummated- but that's one thing that they will cling onto. Knowing they were once together in their lifetime. It's all they have now. Example-If Titanic hadn't had a sad ending of Jack and Rose not getting together, we wouldn't remember it all the time. This is why Saraswatichandra is a class apart. I say just keep watching! :) The show will surprise you.
