@ Kaadal,
Saras is going to be well sympathised either way, as he is positioned. It is character Kumud who is going to face music of the viewers with such half explained turn arounds. For example, unless it (her conflict) was pointed out here, or even after, all might have blamed her only even for a possible relapse...'her fault'. Some of us would at least not...but still, as more firm she will stand (for her 'dilemma') at each attempt (by Saras) to 'bring' her back to reasons and 'closeness', more rapidly the patience of the viewers would run out. For 'sufferer' and 'oppressor' would be underscored by them...next week's theme, I feel. Hoping to be proven wrong.

True smrth, this will have to be handled really well now, she gives in too soon, then all that rona dhona was for naught, she holds back for too long, she loses all sympathy. Saras as you rightly said, either way has our sympathy.

By showing such a strong reaction from her CVs have now a difficult job ahead. Finding the right balance will be tough now.

very well said hotdogg! this is exactly what was coming into my mind..since the show has lost its connection i was avoiding watching it, in fact watching it gives me more pain than not...therefore, i will keep reading the updates until the whole mess is cleared..do not want the taste of sc go bitter by watching half baked episodes...the ideas to clear the mess are good, i hope someone reads it and implements it, is there a way to send our feedback to the cvz?...the cvz should focus on repairing the damage in the upcoming episodes and not jump to another unfinished track..they should understand its not the time to keep experimenting different tracks, they should now clear the mess created around the pms track which according to me was a misfit and suicidal! the story was going ok with its usual minor illogical bits till this whole media hype about pms started, and then nothing was shown which led to irking lots of viewers..why the media hoopla in the first place!!! fail to understand!

Very well done Buddy @hotdogg .. U just went under the skin of the show and BANG ON... 😉 U finished the analysis in a CRISP , CLEAR way. 👏 Very well written. 😃

As you specified about SLB thinking " Out-Of-The-Box " he will come up with something which show's how " An Experienced Person Can PROVE His Experience In A WAY-ROUND Different Field i.e. 70MM to 27-inch LCD screen " 👍🏼 😃 by handling situations like THESE now going on in SC.

But Still..
It's a really big test for SLB and his Crew from now on , coz the screenplay needs to be TIGHT despite ANY SPOILERS 😈 which we recieve . If the SCREENPLAY loses hold , then you know what happens. And as far as the producers are concerned , they need a lot of TRP's and LOSE SCREENPLAY = LESS TRP's (due to predictable upcoming story by any audience )

Hope for CRISP episode's in this week and the next too.. (inclusive of that INTIMATE SCENE 😳 😆)

LET's WAIT AND WATCH... 😎

Excellent analysis Sir ji. You should make independent posts more often.

I am not home at this moment, will update with a more detailed post later today.

General comments -

- channel and most PH's visit the forum for a feedback. I am sure they will come across this thread. 😃

- Kumud's OTT rona dhona was partly to appease a 'certain section' of viewers besides her own guilt and shame at her transgression. But we got the message CVs. Enough with the rona dhona now. 😃

I think I'll have to be the odd one out here but I don't think the show deserves as much criticism as its getting.

The quick succession of confession and consummation isn't something I mind as much because what we are getting in the show is far more than what we got in the novel. There is hardly any back story of Saras & Kumud and they only actually met once. What we are getting in the show right now is more of a bonus (thats how I see it anyway) because the real story begins after Kumud gets married off.

Regarding how the c-night was executed, I'm more confused than disappointed. I thought it was a deliberate screenplay attempt to show the night pass and then straight to Kumud crying the next morning. It was quite interesting to me actually how they left it for interpretation.

Kumud's reaction to it. Yes slightly exaggerated but we have also seen what Kumud is to her parents. She is their pride and respect! So as a daughter she feels like she has cheated them. Ok even if it is slightly over the top, I get really shocked seeing posts like they've lost interest blah blah! Stop watching then...simple as! If your interest can be lost within a split second then the show might not be for you.

Anyway thats my POV :))

I am going to somewhat agree and disagree. Yes, the tracks are moving too fast but that is the charm of this show. My biggest complaint about hindi soaps is that they move too slow and focus on each and every unimportant event in life. I wrote the following in the discussion thread but it makes sense to repeat here.

The "PMS" scene was very sensual and it was not confusing as to what happened, the gestures were pretty clear. I know the atta scene, poolside conversation, writing his name in her mendi and the kisses were more bold. But the difference was the commitment. the families have agreed to the rishta, both of them have now confessed their love to each other. They garlanded each other and because of the mavas night, I believe he said, they consider themselves to be married. The touches now had a completely different intent. We know that Saras has never really experienced love therefore now that he has given into love he wants to feel it all, experience it all. All the pleasures that come with it. His touch today felt more sexual than before. I don't think they could have been more bold in the family time slot.

Although I agree that the crying and the reaction from Kumud was extreme, I am not convinced that her character is ruined. I felt that yes she was swept away by emotion, same as Saras, and engaged in something that they shouldn't have. She isn't blaming him she is blaming herself for not stopping him.

I felt her reaction was in character. She has been given the same freedom and respect as an older son. Her opinion is respected, she helps her father with the accounts, she has a job, she stays out late at nights helping Saras, there are no restrictions on her, no one questions her. when Guman does question her character she is told Kumud knows her limits and can be trusted to stay within them. She is the apple of everyone's eyes. she can do no wrong. The family would expect this type of behaviour from Kumari but not their beloved Kumud.

So when she thinks about them and what she did she has remorse. She loves Saras and in the moment they expressed their love in the most primal manner. She is not blaming Saras but upset for her family. Even though she is bold, modern, progressive in her thinking, at her heart she is still a simple village girl who lives for her family and this is just not done or culturally acceptable. For her it is still very hard to accept she is now Saras' and separate from her family. What happened was for Saras and an expression of their love and had nothing to do with her family.

In conclusion I still love the show, still eagerly come home to watch it. Do I agree with each track and progression of the story? No but this is one of the best shows on air at the moment. Could the delivery be better? Of course.

Maybe I am the minority but I can't wait to see how the show makers will separate them, marry Kumud off and bring them back together. I am in it for the long haul and loving everything.

I agree Samarth. Her current anger and frustration would be understood but if she is going to be stubborn and push Saras away for this, I am not sure whether the viewers would be able to link with her character. I remember when Saras was behaving oddly with Kumud many in the forum were angry with him saying he was the one who rejected her and still behaving so badly with her. But he was forgiven since his childhood has been a weak one but Kumud's case is different. She has always been shown as a strong girl, mature in her ways so not sure how it would be if she is persistent in her indifference to Saras. As of now it is Saras who gets everyone's affection. Showing her behave like this the makers have put themselves in a tight spot, the way they move from here with her is crucial for her character.

Well said!! There is a lack of continuity in the show, which was obvious in the PMS incident since this is a big turning point in the story. I was ok with them not showing an elaborate, typical PMS scene but yeah, there was a missing link between the PMS and Kumud crying next day. I feel that sometimes extra scenes or dialogues needed to better explain the characters and their situations get omitted and things are fast-forwarded.. and at times, certain scenes here and there get dragged when not necessary.

Viewers don't really want to do that, the explanations should naturally suggest themselves

Arshi, I am ok with how the PMS was showed, Saras saying that all the distance between them is now over shows a clear picture of what happened. Kumud reacting in this way is understandable in a way but still something is wrong in it...not sure whether it was the direction or her acting. I agree with you something is missing in it, though her reactions are what it should be but not towards Saras. I hope it is just her initial reactions and she remembers her talk about love and trust. Let us see how this week is turning to.
