I was wondering what was the point of showing this jealousy track.. In SC all tracks are like laying foundation for the main plot..which I guess is the separation when Kumud will marry Pramad.. In that case, it makes sense that they showed such a stark difference in the perception and expression of love by both Saras and Kumud.. Despite of hearing Kumud talk about how there is no love where there is jealousy.. he couldn't handle watching her dance with some other guy..Guess it makes sense to show this difference because it will be him who will have to see her with someone else in the future.. To understand what he will go through we got a glimpse of his reaction today.. But I will hang on to his words, ''haan mujhe tumhe paane ki zidd hai'' Though I loved what Kumud said yesterday, but personally I believe that getting jealous in love is a very natural.. Maybe Kumud would have had a different reaction if it didnt happen as a part of the plan which was way too obvious..the way it happened today ...

sorry for spamming your topic..

Oye dont say spamming...I love to discuss and am glad I can be ukhadoing baal ki khaal along with you😳
Coming to the jealousy track...I dont know if you have heard the song from the old movie ..."Chhod de saari duniya kissike liye, ye munasif nahi aadmi ke liye"
She beautifully tells him that you need to look beyond and that love is not the only thing to live for...

Thereby telling us that love perception differ in both their minds...They are bound to see it differently...and even character strength be seen...Kumud is stronger...and the flaws in his character have to remain...we cant expect him to change overnight just because Kumud gave him a nice little pravachan 😆 And that is what I liked...his consistency in the character...that what he said the day before he stood true to it...that if somebody sees her...he will feel jealous...and also the fact that he would by no means mistrust her because of this fact...the same way when he had beat up the goons who had been teasing her on the other day, and she had come to say sorry ..he had quickly brushed away her sorry saying that it was NOT her fault...but he felt bad that they were seeing her...and so beat them up...
I wonder (and wish too) that if this jealousy and possessiveness would make him adamant and not let her slip out of his hands like in the book and stop the horrible marriage to Pramad...whether he will be able to step up and take that decision...Really hope so!

I agree the consistency of the characters has remained..and the changes that we see in both characters are more like growth than change yet has kept the basic essence of the characters intact.. Even Kumud, has mellowed down and now seems much more patient and forgiving with him..But it makes sense because she now knows him in and out..In helping him discover himself, she herself has begun to understand him more than he understands himself.. So I don't find it out of character for Kumud when she succumbs to him and lets him overpower her emotionally..like yesterday..coz she knows what she means to him.. Reminds me of that line from a song from the Hum apke hai kaun? ''Use hai pata uske hi hathon mein meri dor hai ''

About the future, I dont want to think too far ahead honestly.. But I think the marriage of Pramad and Kumud is inevitable..I don't know under what circumstances it happens but I guess they will stick to that part of the novel.. After Pramad dies , thats when I want Saras to have the ''zidd'' to get her back in his life which never happened in the novel...

Waise I did feel the emphasis on the name when he asked Kumari about Kummud's whereabouts "Kumud Kahan hai?" He knows she is not there..and as if venting his anger...WHERE is she !! As if his imperativeness would bring her over here...

Saras nad Kumud;s last dialogue...Well I kind of liked how Kumud's stand yesterday did not overnight changed the stance that he has, of eluding the fears that he has...

I agree here...if someone has assured you her complete 'dedication', One cannot withdraw that assurance arbitrarily at some time- citing principled high ground. 'Possessiveness' she rebuked. But she herself has granted the right. Why should he not feel possessive? Don't make him impatient...Kumud Sundari, all may not have your disposition!

Just two days back I shared this in CB...
"It's not about seedha or ultra, arshi, I think the point is 'patience'. Your sex has natural knack for it. For us, the idea stops at 'I think' stage only...Can't handle the pressure if The Fair ones decides to make us Jealous...I tell you, Just can't...🤢"

I actually have to go back and watch to see how the ''attack of the zulfein'' brought him down to the floor! 😆 But you are so right..his hawk eyes though very pretty, are something! He couldn't stand any bit of Kumud, even her hair touching another guy and thats scary..Loved how he said ''tumhe dhyan rakhna chahiye na'' that's his and she has to take care of her for him.. possessiveness personified ! GR is not much taller than Jen but he is quite muscular and has broad shoulder.. ya I love it too when he covers her petite frame with his body..Coming to the character, I was wondering why he got upset when he fell down and saw Kumud laughing at him? Any other guy in his place would have probably laughed it off..but not Saras..I was wondering why? Seems like he is not yet fully cured.. he still at the back of his mind has fear, doubts and apprehensions..the self confidence and sense of security in relationships that Kumud has, I doubt Saras will ever have..it is still shaky..he has come a long way from fearing relationships to opening his heart out to this girl..but he still has a long way to go.. the writing of his initial with his own hand on her is also indicative of the fact that he doesn't want anything to be left on fate anymore.. fate has always deceived him..

His discomfort is understandable...when you are assured of a certain support, and suddenly 'the certainty' starts eluding you, even in jest, I tell you, slight anxiety does take over one's mind, notwithstanding an undercurrent of surety. This is not completely about trust either. Basic trust is definitely there- not that he starts imagining her cosy with other- it is more about longing/habit of a constant attention, which he feels withheld momentarily on some unpleasant pretext.

awesome post!

God these dialogues that saras says are amazing, truly his character is one of a kind. Samud too is one of a kind. Today's episode was great and just like you said, i liked how he came equipped with the mehndi cone to write his name onto her hand😊😊

He holds on to, clings on to love like his life depends on it...For him to take it lightly is not an option...

And that is why he was not able to let go of the memories of his mother...he clung to them so tightly as if losing them would mean depriving himself of his own identity...He cannot see the humour when it comes to letting go of them..however hypothetically...He has yet to understand the universality of love, but till date he has seen that when your loved one gives love to someone else it is difficult to claim his or her love for oneself again...Probably with Laxminandan giving all his attention to Gooman...has made him think so...

And probably it is why he clings to whatever is his, with so much of ferocity...That insecurity of his, that fear of his that he will again be left alone, still gnaws his gut and that is an integral part of Saras...that flaw in his character remains, even though he heard and believed what Kumud said yesterday...

Kumud has to understand that he doesnot see humour in

So well put, I never thought it this way! Very good and irritant analysis, as this will be the foundation of many events unfolding in future I suppose!
