Today's fight sequence reminded me of a scene in the movie Taal, where Manasi and Manav get into an ugly fight and eventually a break up after their fathers start an argument and physically brawling.. I know the circumstances are completely different. in the movie, Manasi and her father were deliberately humiliated by Manav's family and most importantly their father's were not child hood friends but the emotions behind the fight between the lovers are very similar. To understand what I am saying, watch the clip from from 3.58 onwards..

For people like Vidya Chatur and Manasi's father in the movie , the most treasured assets of their life is ''relationship'' Their so called jama punji.. ( in hindi ).. their emotional investment and earnings is their family and friends.. What VC did for LN 20-25 years back is actually testimony to that fact.. When LN was thrown out of his family because of his alliance with Guman , VC mortgaged his haveli, his ancestral property (which is a big deal btw) to help him with money so that he could shift base to Dubai.. For him, it was like helping his own brother or family who is not an outsider.. VC is a proud, self respected man with a heart of a child.. His child like enthusiasm when he is happy reflects the pure heart he is.. Like I said in some other post he is emotionally driven ..not calculated in his approach like LN.. He appeared OTT and completely dramatic I know..but thats how they are... Manasi's father also had a similar reaction though he was provoked way too much.. but anyone attacking their self respect and pride, specially family and friends triggers same reaction...

Coming to Saras and Kumud, well that is when the actual fight began and I recalled the scene from Taal.. Before these two came into the picture, there was no ego clash... It was VC's love for his friend that hurt him when he made him feel like an outsider by returning the money.. Bohot bada aadmi ban gaya hai na tu?? those were the words.. reflects VC's attachment with LN.. LN was hurt because VC misunderstood his genuine intentions to help him financially... But Saras and Kumud??? What were they fighting for?? Kumud was quiet till Saras stepped in and Saras didnt raise his voice till Kumud warned LN to say a word against her father more like a retaliation!! Clash of the titans..!!! If Saras can raise his voice, Kumud can burn anyone down to ashes with her angry glare.. No1's less.. ! They both are fiercely protective of their loved ones.. and when they lock horns, sparks are bound to fly..

Nice post and nicely explained. I just hope this time they talk first when they say sorry, and explain to each other why they were angry and then do romantic scenes.

saras shouldn't have stepped in. it was wrong for him to even accuse her father.. and I think what Kumud did was justified cos obviously both leads have too much ego and once that ego is hurt there is no way they will stay quite.
personally, I actually felt bad for LN cos his intentions were genuine and the poor guy was somewhat manipulated by that witch, Guman. urgh she really irritates me.
VC & LN are so cute
and once they reunite...Saras and Kumud reunite too!

Yeh ajab prem ki gazab kahani hai Vaishali! I saw it almost exactly the way you did. A genuine concern of LN ended up hurting his friend's swaabhimaan. Friends disagree all the time and I'm sure this is not the first time these two have clashed. What was more interesting to watch, as you pointed out, was how Kumud and Saras entered the fight. I'll probably get some andaas thrown at me for saying this but I liked the face off (could've been more intense though). Their love for each other is still blooming but the love they have for their parents is solid! Without asking a single question or trying to understand the situation, they went straight into defensive modes. We've seen some amazingly romantic moments, now its time for some passionate disagreements!
