Arshicritic,
Post matching the episode...loved reading. For lack of time, I am pasting the views which I put in other thread too...just finding it a relevant response here too...
...the confession which has began way back in front of Idols, (" have you not seen regret in my eyes for writing the letter?"), the feelings that always found their forceful manifestation in numerous, unexpected places but in compulsive expressions...all these have now been coursed on an unambiguous vocal avowal. Not today- Right from previous night where he started, " I hope you understand my feelings that I wanted to convey."...Good that it will culminate in mutual calls tomm. The two way acceptance, spread over three episodes is a treat to watch. This is also in line with the original, where they did confess their mutual love before he left RN over his first visit. ( again wud love putting a parallel 'description' from the original, but...).
You all are correct in praising GR. He is damn good. But do you notice, how subtle and yet eloquent, beauteous and expressive, Jenifer was through out the episodes?!😳 Those "kyun?", "main bhi?" , "rain dance", shy retreat...she was astounding today.

So what now? Logically, the rejector must inform his altered feelings to both sets of parents ( minus Gumaan). Will he do it?😊

I agree, and I wonder why? Shiney Doshi is pretty, i am sure she acts well and Kusum was important to the original story.

Could it be because the CVs have not decided on the future of Samud story and whether they want to take the Saras Kusum road?

If she is out of the equation now, it will be easier to accept her as Mrs Saras.

On the contrary, if today she is Kumud's confidante, it will make for a very interesting conflict and emotional turmoil if she has to later become his wife!

I really hope the CVs don't take the easy way out with her and give her a role that justifies her presence!

@ bold- possible.. Thats where books and their adapted movies/shows are different.. I am sure Kusum's character has been nicely etched in the book..Being Kumud's sister, she must be no less in beauty, brains and other virtues.. but in the show she doesn't stand out as a character at all..even though she is pretty.. with Saras in the show?? I have doubts..my views are just based on the strength of the character in the show...even if not like Kumud she has to have something other than beauty to be Saras's wife..we'l see...

My point exactly, a strong Kusum would be a lot more meaningful as Mrs Saras, if reqd, than this pale character!

It would be disappointing to see this Kusum replace Kumud in Saras's life!

Samarth, great insights again, that's why the word journey kept playing in my head, because the confession started long ago, thanks for closing that point for me!

Yes it is Saras's call to inform the family now, and I hope he will!

I actually wait for comparisons with the actual text from you, so anywhere you do that, pm me, please

As for Jen , Samarth, her "kyon" overshadowed everyone and everything else yesterday, the fear, hope, hesitation, expectation, she conveyed in that one word - it was superlative!

It's just that these last few episode have been about Saras opening up, so he is getting more attention, but yesterday Jen outdid herself, with her Kyon, and main bhi !

Nandy, I am going to make a public apology to Aniruddh Singh here. I had put him down as a goofy

sidekick in his first sequence, but he is damn good!

I really hope the CVs make good use of this guy, and he doesn't meet Akshay Dogra's fate in ipk

..lovely conversation going on in this post..
..nothing new to add...
...just absorbing what is posted here...

on sunny...i am sure he is going to be a very mature and important character...coz in the novel saras friend was called Chandrakant...and was the anchor holding the ships of saras & kumud when they sailed the stormy seas of life...in the novel it is entirely due to his persistence that both the leads reunite when they are seperated, he resolves the misunderstanding between saras and his dad etc...

..or maybe it is in line with the novel..
disclaimer i have not read the novel...but keep asking some of my firends who have for tit-bits (dont want to know the whole story)...

..in the novel kusum's character is very pious...she is not interested in marraige and actually wants to become a nun / jogan...

...due to the twists in the story and the social rigidity of that time...saras & kumud cannot marry even though they wish to...since kumud has become a widow...so the only 'practical' 'jugaad' arrangement is that saras marries kusum in name...but he remains the man in kumud's life..

...that's as far as I have managed to probe...i have decided will not probe further...
... decided to simply enjoy this adaptation...and take it one step at a time...
😊

You know even the original character of Kusum would have been awesome, this half baked personality that she has been given is not right

And yes enjoying the adaptation but I love the comparisons with original story

Great topic and replies but limited time so can't give a review as of now.

FYI- Farq padta came years ago (maybe from Sujal-Kashish or even before). It's not a newly introduced dialogue so it doesn't belong to any couple ;)

Loved how genuinely it came out with Saras and Kumud.
