I agree, I don't want this cute sweet funny
This is ok for a couple of episodes, not more
The egoist vs the emotionally challenged yet impulsive was so power packed and with so much
potential
@arshicritic...great post as usual...love the way you capture the key words / phrases which summarize the whole epi...
my two cents...
..I like the change in mood / approach...maybe there's a reason ...or wishful thinking...but here goes anyway... :-)
...both had their defenses up when they first met ..that's where the earlier crackling scenes happened...we loved these...that got them 'close' but still got them nowhere...though they got the first real 'connect' which has the potential to turn into love...both were still stuck at the ehsaas stage...the high intensity got the breakthrough & connect, but no follow through...it was still not creating the final complete breakthrough with each other maybe because their defenses were up...saras to a larger extent...but even kumud's...she did the 4 kadam thingie becoz of guman's taunt and a competing 'why do i care if he does not, he broke off the enagement'...we know about guman's vile presence, but she doesn't...to her she's just saras mom who told her to back off coz their rista has been broken off by saras...
...after her last meeting with saras in his room that night, i guess she's currently mentally resigned that's nothings happening...she's the tough one between the two ...so she's not gonna forgive him for breaking it off...BUT now kumud is finally learning the context behind saras behavior through DB...AND she's doing all this with a blank slate just with the single focus of getting the bitterness out of saras...and for DB...nothing more...
i am ok with her quick apology for the 4 kadam too without any other melodrama...it just business...she had taken the decision to call that out earlier...she did not explain then...why explain now?...why raise the fact that saras mom had taunted her and so she did what she did blah blah?...it would only create one more issue for our guy to get bitter about...just close the issue and move on...and anyway there's gonna be nothing between them anyway..so why bother?...
...this approach has caused her to lower all her defenses...and we see kumud with saras as she would normally be...still sassy, proud, fierce and with all her earlier qualities we admire...but now also cute, fun, playful etc (from the earlier episodes before the announcement of her engagement with saras)...because there's no baggage...
...and this 'reset' to a more 'rounded' kumud diametrically opposite to the ealrier version may cause the breakthrough to 'reset' saras to his more 'rounded' version (e.g. how he is with sunny)...and both can finally be their true selves with each other...comfortable with each other, no baggage, no expectations...and maybe will just admit that they like each other without tripping all over the place...
...I think the kicker at this stage will be the elephant in the room ...the ehsas...that's not going anywhere antyime soon..
..so after they have reset and the ehsas calls out 'hey guys, what about me?' is when the final breakthrough might happen...and that's when their high intensity, emotional scenes will be something to savor...full on positive instead of the negativity of the earlier ones...
neways...two cents became two hundred cents...but i like the change of mood..and seeing kumud in a fun avtaar, smiling, at peace etc. etc...too much of high intensity all the time causes numbness... i like to believe this is a reset...and then on to the high intensity but full on 'in love' scenes between these two...
