Hey SC lovers!
Well first of all I've sort of been a silent reader on this forum, off and on commenting. I used to be a very active user on India Forums until I felt like my hopes for Star Plus started declining when they started axing all the valuable shows they had. My favorite show ever was Gulaal and to be honest when that show ended man I was sooo upset. I thought no other possible show could compose a show like Gulaal and have the same effect, it was just such an amazing show for me personally. I was also a IPKKND fan but more or so for the comedy than the actual story but it did get interesting towards the end but I still felt like the show got to an extent of being unrealistic. Never the less I was still a fan but once that show ended I had HAD it with star plus. I just thought, this channel actually had no shows that actually were productive in terms of emotions, story, relating this to the real world, none of the shows connected with the wider world which really annoyed me. All the good shows got axed and I was furious. So as you can tell from November I had declined myself from Star Plus and India forum.
A couple months later round January i was browsing on the internet and came across Sanjay Leela Bansli where in an article he had announced that he would have his very own show on Star Plus. I had just finished my exams so I thought well if SLB is composing a show IT HAS TO BE GOOD. My faith revived a little bit.
A week later the first promo was released of Saraswatichandra - and that was it IT HAD GOT ME STARING AT MY SCREEN, i wanted this show to start so badly after i did my research on it. Scarily enough i wasn't aware of the lead pair. In the first promo we were unable to see their face, so i was casually sitting there and said to my mum "this guy has to be Gautam Rode, and this girl HAS to be Jennifer Winget, i don't know i just have a feeling" my mum couldn't care less and she said "we'll see" BUT TO MY SURPISE the second promo was released and it was INFACT GAUTAM AND JENNIFER! i was about to fall of my chair!
BTW quick question guys - who was a fan of Gautam before SC? cos i know i was!!!!!
Anyways this show has been amazing so far, it just makes the viewers feel connected to the characters and makes us sympathize with them, i am loving the story so far! and I'm sure SLB will not let us down, so far its been a hit show topping it in the UK. I feel like Gautam and Jennifer are perfect for these roles. No one could portray these characters better than them. Well done SLB you really have an eye when it comes to casting characters.
I am hoping to be an active member on this forum. But one thing that's kind of irriating me are the posts about Kumud marrying someone else? Why are we going way ahead of ourselves. SLB is an innovative guy and he himself has stated that it was ONLY THE CONCEPT of SC taken from the novel not the ideas. SO i have full faith that he will not do so, so i really think these kind of posts need to be stopped cos i feel like they just ruin the vibe on this forum. It's just a humble request. But this show has definetly topped its level and I'm loving it as much as i loved Gulaal if not more! so HATS OFF TO SLB!!
