Ah well...Did they choose the Shahid Din to make the Sacrificial goat..or rather the Sacrificial cow out of Saras?? Because it does seem that the day itself had some major impact on Saras as he stood there taking all the blames and accusations that never belonged to him...
He took them head bent...
But then she came...The Devil incarnated for him...The one who torments him...disturbs him...shakes him up and calls him a coward and Selfish person...yet she was the same person who stood like a rock...not letting him fall and take the brunt alone...She was Savitri incarnated...shooing away Yamraj, like one shooes away some bug😆
I just loved her standing and making the most logical of arguments amongst the tornado of people who were thinking more with their rigid hearts and age old beliefs...How she turned every accusation into an argument in favour of Saras...how she challenged the Village saying that Saras was the man who saved a child of their village and not the one who impurified the Temple's water...how he was the one who saved Vidyachatur and not the one who stood outside and watched Vidyachatur burn...how he came back when he could have run away...how he came to sheild the family, he had been a guest of...
How his eyes can never lie...!!!😳
I dont blame Saras for standing there like a statue...the way Kumud took over, had the whole village do the same...Stand stupified!!!!
Ofcourse Saras was right in standing silent..because the moment he opened his mouth...Poora Raita faila diya😡😆
On a side note...I did like the Pandit...he was rigid at first...but seeing Kumud and hearing her plea...he did accept her arguments with open mind,..the way he told her that she indeed has got a Devta in form of a human...but ofcourse he also turned out to be a total loss as he announced the punishment...What was that...(Directly from the movie "Dushman" it was...Panditji is fond of seeing Rajesh Khanna's movie it seems😛😆)
Kind of liked this shot...Saras taking everything as if its fate...Kumud fighting that very fate!!!
Anyways so Saras takes the punishment head bent...Saras...you big Gadha!!! 😆 Look at Kumud's expressions as she sees Saras accepting it to salve the heart burns caused!! "Kya faayda itni badi teri degree ka, aur itney acche mere arguments ka!!!
Saras reaches his punitive house and again recieves a load of contempt...which ofcourse Kumud Rani is unable to bear...Love how she marches up to him...She is one strong woman...She won't take it lying down...her ego and her pride cannot make her see any wrong being done...
I liked how this shot was taken...The Luka chhupi...the essence of their relation...One is always hiding behind the layer of pride or ego...but other can always see through...
Kumud so knows it...and that is what she tells him!! ofcourse layering all her arguments in the blanket of "supporting the truth" ...but boy does she slip when she says that "Mein tumhe dekh rahi thi!"😛 Saras :"Kyun Dekh rahi thi" 😕😆 Saras!!!! I tell you...you got bricks in your head if you dont know why...and a bigger brick if you think she will keep her pride aside and answer that question😆 you have met your match!!!!
The way she tells him that whether he wants it or not...She is with him (MAan na maan your wagon is hitched to mine😛)
What can Saras say to this one...he can only be awed at the woman who stands tall with him...whether he wants it or not...all his life...he had always been on the sidelines..because people never took time to peep into the walls he had build around his heart...the woman was not only penetrating through them...she was demolishing them one by one!!!
She not only strides and takes over..she also over rules her father and tells him to leave😆
I kind of liked how Saras...watching her shivering offers her blankets.. with just a nod of his head...and she walks away...and she collects the woods sticks and starts a bon fire...😆
I kind of like how he appears all mature and in control when he is around everyone else..but when he is with her..the child within him awaknensbe that be the brash or naughty kid...but some side of his which receded itself under the layers of pain and anguish comes out...
Where the hell would you find THIS Saras, other then when he is with Kumud...
making her rise to his accusation and thereby making her eat, because he knows that she wont have eaten anything...
And both of them egging each other to eat!!

What was the Pandit doing hand in hand with Saras in front of the whole village Poor Kumud...thought that Pandit was against her because she chose to defy him...Little did she know that Pandit wanted something she liked🤣 (No offence but this pic actually had me laughing like anything!)
