How can we believe that Kalika's husband loves her when all she does is chase everyone around the house, and create mischief wherever she goes?! It stretches belief that she is the only perceptive one (other than sometimes Guniyal and Dugba) who sees Kusum's true feelings as well as Danny's feelings. Presumably everyone else, including Saras and Kumud are blind to everyone's emotions, although they are often painted as demi-Gods. It is just as well, as I will stop watching Saraswatichand if Kumud sacrifices Saras for Kusum.
The villain with a heart, aka Pramad, turns up to Kusum's engagement and lo-and-behold does not create a tamasha but endears himself to Kusum's hone-wali-Sasuma.
I think the script writers are trying to show Kalika has a heart - with her so-called well-meaning advice for Danny - but it is not working for me as a viewer. All I can see is her scheming face.
There is really no place for Kalika in the household if this story is going to follow an artistic or a realistic path. If it wants to be cheap-side-of-filmy and like the cheaper TV serials, then by all means keep Kalika in the house, keep Danny in love with Kusum and Kusum in love with Saras. You will lose the thinking TV viewers.
The best things left in my opinion? The acting of nearly everyone involved. Give them good scripts, for goodness sake.
