My other question is how the ashram vaasis will react to six packs and now Kumud's different? modern? dress sense. 🤔

I will have to wait for year 3 to find out how the show juggles 1800s and 21st century in this context I suppose.

I don't think we should watch this show.

When all over India, 1850s, people were fighting over Widow Remarriage rights.
Guru Amar Das in Punjab advocated widow remarriage in 1500s.
In 1850s, people in Bengal were fighting for widows and their right to remarry.
Then I don't understand why the hell in Gujarat, a writer will write a novel, in which a widow doesn't want to remarry because it is against society dictates. That too, when she had an abusive husband and she has a chance now to marry the man she loves.
What the hell! No offense to Gujaratis but I have always find their attitude very traditional when it comes to women.

Very well said. .. i don;t know how to answer this ..

I mean when a person is writing a stroy , its his creativity and he is free to conjure up a world that he wants to .. but the brutal fact is .. that if work of art reflects society, it also impacts society .. so yes, promoting liberal thinking, promoting women status would have been great but i guess the author just wanted to write another love saga telling the youngsters that love though supreme can't be put first .. ( strangely to me that just translates into this - think of others around you, make it easier from them because that's what each freaking living being wants .. life being easy for him and according to him.. so put society first ..😕) .. chodo yaar .. depressing hai ..

Oh God! Did you read the whole thing (novel)?!
Honestly speaking, i should be dropping this serial this instant, but damn it! why haven't i dropped it till now?
The novel's held in the 19th century and the serial, in the 21st century.
So, technically speaking whatever the novel says doesn't imply to the serial setting.
Which means, if i follow the path of positive-thinking, i might just be able to hold on.😉

Bravo post👍🏼

I agree with you. But can't social services be done in a married state. Wasn't Gandhi married? His wife was equal partner with him in Indian freedom movement. The author could have shown Kumud and Chandra married and doing social service together. The author should have shown the widow remarriage during the time when thousands of widows were being sent to Varanasi to live the life of hell.

Why cnt u use ur common sense?😆
he is here to make a serial, indian daily soap, not an american 13 epi serial or an indian 3 hr film...
he hd sed he wil edit it according to TRPs n audience's viewpoint
Why cnt u take it in a positive manner n chill?
N SLB hs sed "muqammal pyaar ki adhoori daastan jald hogi poori star plus par" it's so simple to understand, d promos n his oen promo...

Good post.. I feel SLB shouldn't stick to the actual story of the novel.. He has shown Kumud as a girl with so much of self-esteem. It would be blunder if he shows her being abused. With minor/major changes to the novel, this show can actually leave a mark as epic love saga.. Dekhte hai kya chal raha hai SLB ke mann mein.. As of now, i'm liking the way the story is progressing. 😊 Hopefully, it will be good in coming episodes too.

Ok . . . the post is good . . . but i think SLV shouldn't copy the novel blindly . . . & if he wants that his show completes 2000 episodes so, he have to change the ending . . . people can't bear any sad ending in daily soap . . .
