Tbh, I thought the friend would have known it by now... or maybe the friend just wanted to irritate SC 😆. But I think the scene was there to let us probably know why he has such a name- that he likes to have his mom's name attached to his name.

See, I understand why the scene had to be there, to establish why he is called saraswatichandra.

But I expected better handling

1. Did he attach his moms name or was he named that way at birth. - a mom attaching her name to her newborn son - strange

2. Maybe he attached his mom name to his. - a dad like his would not have accepted it then ,

So, I think they could have established it differently. Somehow it shows lack of attention to details, didn't gel with me!

You have a point there...yes, they haven't explained how did he happen to get this name. I think this scene was just to mention the significance of the name. Maybe they intend to answer the 'how' later or maybe it is one of those minute, important detail that gets over-looked in daily soaps...
