scrutiny article : Bhansalis big hopes 2000 epi of SC

Mumbai, Feb 26 (IANS) Sanjay Leela Bhansali's
debut TV show "Saraswatichandra" is finally on air
and the director-producer hopes that it completes
2,000 episodes.
An adaptation of Govardhanram Madhavaram
Tripathi's novel, the show went live Monday on Star
Plus. Gautam Rode and Jennifer Winget are seen as
the lead actors in it.
" I just have one wish that we make a good serial,
actors do a good job and it runs for 2000 episodes
and may it become the biggest and most memorable
serial," the 50-year-old said here in an interview.
So far Ekta Kapoor's "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu
Thi" has been the longest running serial on Indian
television with 1,833 episodes. It went on air in 2000
and ran till 2008.

tfs... and good luck to them, back in the days dramas ran a long time like kyunke or kasauti but these days dramas finish faster , no complicated conflicts or generation leaps... lets see wht happens wid SC

i like to go with quality rather than quantity..its hard to maintain quality with quantity! good luck to SLB!

that means probably many long years until samud get together. one request to mr bhansali, please go for quality rather than quantity. this serial needs to stay in people's heart forever. there are shows which may run for a long time but they don't have the same impact they had in the first year.

Mr. Bhansali better focus and hope for quality rather than quantity if he wants his show to stay in people's minds. Those long running K serials may have had thousands of episodes but they never got respect after their first year and by the time they ended, not just viewers but even their cast and rest of the team had lost interest in them! I hope this doesn't happen with Saraswatichandra ever!

The dragging, leaps and other shit may help SC cross 2000 episodes but it will also mean no quality, actors getting fed up and leaving and all those stupid character changes/actor replacements!

SLB saab should set his aim right if he wants his show to create history.
