The story picks up, from where it was left on Friday, as Minoo Tai, gives her final point of view. She asks her sister, why she does not take her as her own daughter in law, but she is self less, and thinks of the happiness of her sister and her son. She sees
love in the eyes of her nephew, but not the blindness in Naina;s eyes. As Naina is about to leave Minoo Tai, stops her and tells her that it is a difficult decision to leave her job, but she will give her time till next morning, and she should tell her what her decision is. If her job is more important than her love for her son. (Naina had told Akruti in the beginning that she did not love Abhi, but hoped love would come eventually, and now his mother stifles it before it can blossom.) All sympathize with Naina, at the great sacrifice asked of her, but Rohini is the only one who relishes the thought of her making the cross over. Minoo Tai leaves, and then Naina goes, and Daksh follows her. On his way, Daksh looks angrily at his cousin, who then goes after him.
Naina is standing alone, as she ponders on the implications of leaving her job, hoping that Daksh would come and help her out. As soon as she feels a hand on her shoulder, the first word that comes out of her, is "Daksh", and she turns round and finds a sombre Abhi. Abhi tells her that she has made too many sacrifices for him, and she should not quit her job; it will be his duty, to convince his mother. Naina just looks blankly at him, when he asks her to have confidence in him. The camera pans, and we see Daksh listening to them from outside the door, and then he walks away.
Vibha takes a glass of milk, and takes it to Akruti,who is sitting by herself on the bed and thinking, and when Vibha speaks about Naina, and why she did not tell her sister the reason for going out of the house, she suddenly, remembers that both of them had come home together and so she asks Akruti if she knows the reason, but Akruti excuses herself, and abruptly gets up and decides to go and meet Naina.
Akruti finds Naina alone and thinks of the sacrifice Naina made for her, to keep her promise. made to her in Mrs. Deshpande's house. She too asks Naina why she had to agree with every thing that her Maushi says. She is taking advantage of her gentleness. and gives her courage. She tells her that she is taking back the promise she asked her to make, and asks her to tell Maushi everything, and she will take the consequences. But Naina is kind, and since she can not get through to Ayush, she suggests she contact Sushant who works with him. Akruti thinks it a good idea and goes away. How great potential our young people have, in their generosity and love for one another. Would that their elders had also recognized it, their lives would have been much better.
When Rohini tastes her ice cream, and thinks of Naina's dilemma, Sanket is annoyed with her for relishing in her pain, and when she pities the Aunt, he asks her, if she has no thought for Naina, and he gets what she thinks. As she gives her opinion, Vibha hears her from behind, and then, she comes forward, and puts a stop to her chain of thought, and takes Naina's side, and walks away from there, that Naina will win in the end.
Vibha is very hurt and Daksh tries to console her. His mother can not understand why her sister can not see what she can see in Naina. Finally tears come from her eyes, and she says, that she would have been very happy to have her as her daughter in law, and leaves the room. Daksh stands, and says to himself, "Mother it will never happen, because she 'loves' Abhi." He too is short sighted like his mother, and can not read the thoughts of the girl.
As Vibha unburdens herself to Daksh, Abhi tries to persuade his mother, talks about the advantages of Naina having a job, and then he reminds her that she too had to work while she brought him up,and she finally tells him, that if he loves Naina so much, he can do what he wants, but she will not be able to live with them and will have to go away. It is a difficult choice for him. His mother tells him, that she will accept Naina, only when she changes herself.
This is a situation where interests clash, and children, do not understand the troubles through which their parents had to wade through, and which formed their opinions. Strangers like Naina get caught up in the middle, also unintentionally, all get entangled in the tornado of life. Vibha tries to find justification for her sister, but finds it difficult, to see Naina become the victim, and Daksh feels it is Abhi who should face the brunt, as it is all for his sake this happens. His mother does not want him to suffer, so she wants to change Naina's life, to suit her son's interest.
We see Naina, going through her office, and she remembers all the details that have gone by in that room, and hesitates about the step she is expected to take. Daksh enters and comforts her, and tells her that she should stick with her work, and sees her watching some paintings, and she tells him that these themes she had started painting on the train, while come to Mumbai, from Darjeeling. When she was small, she used to paint cards for her step mother, thinking that she was her own mother, but never got her interested. Daksh appreciates her work, and then he tells her not to worry, and let Abhi sort out the matters with his mother. He too has told her the same. She takes heart in his advice.
We say marriages are made in heaven, but when it comes down to nuts and bolts, we think everything is in our hands, but in fact, it is a very common knowledge that things are not. That is why from time immemorial, they have known that there is a Bhagya Vidata, who controls and if we let him, we will gain happiness, otherwise, it will be the life according to Minoo Tai.
In the pre-cap: Vibha and Minoo with the rest of the family are getting ready for breakfast, and Minoo remarks to her sister that Naina has gone straight to her office without telling her, and this shows that she has made her choice, and says, she has ignored her as well as her son. She tells to Abhi, and implies that she can not accept Naina.
