Brij is at the dargah, praying, and seeking a solution for his dilemma... then he is leaving the dargah, walking backwards in a respectful gesture... he spots puja, and runs out, and drives off at lightning speed...Did anyone else notice the cascade of expressions on Brij's face... from being helpless and furtively searching for an answer (especially while he is the car driving back from daddaji's place with shamsher).. to the peace... the 'SUKOON" he feels at the dargah... and finally that devastatingly despondent look when he spots puja... as if the mere sight of Puja is painful to him as it reminds him of HOW much he loves her and yet, for his OWN reasons, cant be with her... cant even EXPLAIN the situation to her!!Broke my heart!! 😭I mean, all of that sounds very DRAMATIC, but as they say... 'There's always something so tragic... about a hopeless romantic...'😊
At first I giggled because it was hilarious to see him RUNNING AWAY like that. If he'd started shouting bhoot-bhoot I wouldn't have been surprised 🤣 I don't think I've ever seen a scene like on Indian TV.
But once it settled in my mind, you're right - that was a heartbreaking scene. He wants her so much and from the hints we've recieved so far, she's the first bit of personal happiness he's experienced in a long long time. But he can't make himself reach out for her because she's a distraction at a very crucial point of his political career and she's wholly unsuitable to the kind of life he leads where people are shooting at him and playing mind games, etc.
If you put Pooja as she is today intp BBP's life, she would be eaten alive before the day is out. He will have to spend all his time protecting her.
So this period of transformation in Pooja is important too. She has to become that woman in the first episode who has fallen far below what she thought possible and has realized the importance of her values and relationships, but is also strengthened by all her experiences on the dark side and has a better understanding of BBP's world.
I hope Pooja survives coz that'lll be the real Brija romance, sweet as this version is.
