Completely agree with you. What you are saying makes sense and is true. No matter how modern and forward looking we become, Mayank flirting and romancing with Gunjan while being engaged to charu at the same time is just NOT RIGHT.
I really don't see what he is waiting for. It is just a sign of weakness in my opinion. He will have to do it sooner or later. If he doesn't have courage to speak the truth in front of his parents, he should not flirt and romance around with Gunjan either.
By the way, I personally feel the romance thing between Gunjan-Mayank and also upcoming romance between coach-rachna has been shown a bit pre-maturely in the show. The girls are just 16 or perhaps, 16.5 yrs. How much perspective does one have about marriage at that age?
Now one could argue that marriage may happen later for them. But, the way this family is, they would want to get their son and daughters married soon (meaning both rachna and mayank).
And is a female body even ready to get married at 18 yrs? It is definitely something to think about. We may all come up with explanations on how Rachna will get married 2 yrs later or how their family is conservative and how there are girls who do get married at 18. But this is not some illiterate family, no matter how conservative they are. It is a bit disturbing.
