Help me understand, is it custom for a woman to get an alliance fixed when she doesn't even know the groom's name or that she hasn't met him? Everytime her MIL comes around she has an excuse why he hasn't come to the house yet. Is Mintu her son? She and her husband have shady looks at certain times in the conversations. What gives? I'm scared for Rachna.

Yet to date no one in Rachna's familiy is concerned in the least. In fact all they do is fawn over the Mil!

no Mintu isn't her son in an earlier episode we saw Mintu's parents. However I think something is wrong with the groom or it is just that they haven't found an actor to play the role as yet.

Something is definitely wrong with the groom. Also Rachna's parents are very stupid to consent to the marriage without meeting the groom in person.

Rachna's dad is retarded for not having met his future son-in-law and yet here Rachna's insane future Saasu ma barges in at a drop of a hat and makes demands on how Rachna must live. Imagine keeping a fast for a man that may not even exist?
