why does alekh addresses vasu as badi maa??

I have been away for quite a few months abroad and never got the time to watch Bidaai, I have only watched it upto where Sadhna was kidnapped by some goons and there hit Alekh and Shlok came to their rescue. Will someone please tell me what has happened till date??
