Rajvansh family in shock in Bidaai

The joys and celebrations of STAR Parivaar were still unsettled when STAR Plus woke up this morning to the shocking news of Sadhna's untimely death in Sapnaa Babul ka…Bidaai. As initial reports came in, a bomb exploded in Agra in a parking lot of a famous temple in the city.

Sadhana was one of the many victims who died in this attack. The police had alerted the citizens of Agra on a possibility of a terror strike last week in Sapnaa Babul Ka…Bidaai.

Sadhna's death has dampened the celebrations at the Rajvansh house and STAR Plus, where the entire family was preparing to welcome the new member, Ragini's child into this world. Just last week, we witnessed baby showers held with great style for both the protagonists and then Sadhna gave birth to Khushi. But this devastating incident in the lives of television's most popular sisters Sadhana and Ragini has shaken one and all. Ragini, who was pushed into premature labour, is still to learn about this tragic news.

Sadhna's demise brings closure to one of the most affable chapters of love, sacrifice and sisterhood on STAR Plus. She has always been an epitome of sacrifice and prayed till her last breath for her jiji Ragini's wellbeing. She was the best daughter; best sister and best daughter-in-law on Indian television, but life failed her and deprived her of an opportunity to become the best mother. Her passing away has left a vacuum in everybody associated with her and is about to change all relationships and equations in the Rajvansh house.

We spoke to Ranvir Rajvansh, "I am in shock and don't know how to react. Now I have to handle my brother Alekh and Ragini. I am now worried how to tell this shocking news to Ragini."

Then we spoke with Alekh, who didn't utter a single word but later on he tried to talk, "I am totally frozen and what can I say I have lost my life and world."

Vasundhara Rajvansh, "I was happy when both Sadhana and Ragini delivered Khushi and Tamanna, but the news of Sadhana's sudden demise has shaken me and my whole family. Now I want to take care of Alekh, who loved his wife so much and how he is in trauma..."

Time is the greatest healer. Whether relationships crumble or stand the test of time is yet to be seen as Sapnaa Babul Ka…Bidaai takes an eight-year leap and takes you to a story forward with Sadhana and Ragini's daughters Khushi and Tamanna. As time takes its course, life changes, relationships mature and new bonds are formed…

How will baby Khushi live without her mother Sadhna? How will Ragini deal with this loss? How will Alekh take this grief? Will Rajvansh Parivaar ever emerge from this upheaval? A lot of questions remain unanswered.

Angad Hasija, popularly known as Alekh of Rajan Shahi's 'Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai' recently experienced the adulation of his female fans. This occurred when he was leaving for his friend Dheeraj Solitaire's place in Malad, the same building where the murder of Neeraj Grover had taken place.

A source says, "He recently went to meet a friend and was in the lift with six girls who coincidently watch 'Bidaai'. The tower is of 22 floors and he had to go to the 11th floor. But the girls didn't let him go and pressed the 22nd floor button. They told him that he could step down onto the 11th floor, on his way down. They all wanted his autograph and expressed their surprise at seeing Angad in the lift. Apparently, they did it in order to see him properly."

"He got scared initially but then realized that they were genuine fans and interacted with them. He had never experienced this kind of adulation before. He is used to meeting fans in the shopping malls and temples but this kind of adulation came as a great surprise. It was a definite high for the good actor." concludes the source.

We tried our best to reach the actor but all our efforts went in vain.

That's obvious that the celebrities have to face such situations it may be love or even hate at times!

Angad Hasija a.k.a Alekh of 'Sapna Babul Ka- Bidaai' is going through a terrible phase these days. Angad had been trimming his body hair when one of the hairs on his shoulder got stuck in the machine, causing anguish to the actor. Let us hear it from Angad himself.

"I never really got the time to trim my hair as I was busy with 'Zara Nachke Dikha' and 'Bidaai. I am very hairy by nature and my hair grows at an alarming rate. So while trying to trim my body hair in my vanity van, just before the shoot, I accidentally trapped one of my shoulder hairs in the machine which turned out to be painful indeed! Now I have a boil on my shoulder and can hardly move my right hand."

So have you taken proper precautions? "Immediately. I went to a doctor and he operated on it instead of treating it with medicines first. This has aggravated the pain even more." explains Angad.

All we can say here is that don't be in hurry always; it will cause more damage for sure!

Producer Rajan Shahi's third show titled "Chaand Chupa Badal Mein" on Star Plus went on air on Monday. The cast and crew of the show watched the episode together. A huge cake was cut too and there was smile on all the faces.

Naveen Saini and Ashita Dhwan from Sapna Babul ka bidaai unit came in to wish Rajan and the new star cast. Maximum claps came on entry of Sarita Joshi who is a well known veteran actress. Almost the complete unit of Yeh Ristha Kya Kehlata Hai came in to wish Rajan Shahi and the newcomers.
Hina Khan came sans make up. Lataa Sabrewal made an entry with her on-screen and off-screen husband Sanjiv Seth. Rajan Shahi's mother Deepa Shahi made a special appearance like always for his son's new venture.

Hina bonded well with Neha Sargam and was spotted not only talking but even feeding cake to Neha Sagam. Yeh Ristha unit was in fun mood and were heard joking that they know the best way of maintain relationships with everyone.

Rajan Shahi on the occassion said, "I have made the new show Chaand Chupa badal Mein with absolute sincerity and I hope audiences will shower love to this show also like Bidaai and Yeh Ristha Kya Kehlata Hai"

Sara Khan, who played the lead as Sadhna in Bidaai, has now quit the show. Asked what prompted this, she says, "It was a mutual understanding between Rajan Shahi and me. I'm really happy that it was on a good note."

Adds Sara, "It will always be a part of me. I can't ever forget my experience of working with the lovely team of Bidaai. I won't miss anyone because I'll continue to stay in contact with everybody from the show."

What was the best moment of the show? "The most unforgettable moment was when I got selected to play the lead role of Sadhna. I still cannot forget that day."

Does she regret quitting the show that gave her instant recall with the masses? "Bidaai has given me a lot but I don't regret my decision to quit. Every show has to end one day. It's part and parcel of a soap."

She adds, "My friends and family were also in tears with my decision to quit as they all loved me in Bidaai. I've been getting smses and emails from fans saying they will miss me. The most touching was when my assistant director cried on my last day of shooting. This incident was a mixed bag of sorrow and happiness."

Now that she won't be shooting round-the-clock for a daily soap, what will she do in her spare time? Sara says, "I'm busy shooting for ads, giving more time to my beauty salon and spending more time with friends and family, which I couldn't earlier."

Was the time leap for Bidaai a TRP strategy? "I don't agree. The TRPs were still at their peak when I left the show. The show's success all depends on the plot, the channel and the script writer."

There are rumours that Sara will be working with Riteish Deshmukh in a film directed by boyfriend Ali Merchant. Sara doesn't deny this but says, "I don't want to comment on it but there are talks on many projects. I would like to comment once things are finalised."

Did Bidaai open doors to Bollywood? She remarks, "No, not at all. Working in a daily soap is very different from a movie."

Is she ready for another daily soap? Sara confesses, "I'm not that keen to do a daily soap, but I'm always ready for reality soaps. I'll be participating in a reality show soon."

The world of 'Bidaai' has turned upside down in the aftermath of Sadhna's death. That has left Alekh (Angad Hasija) insane. Ragini (Parul Chauhan) has suffered a double blow. Poor girl has not only lost her sister, but also her hubby Ranvi (Kinshuk Mahajan) has gone missing. Though it's not clear whether he'll be paired opposite Parul Chauhan, Apoorva Agnihotri will take over as the new protagonist in 'Bidaai'. That has raised questions about Kinshuk's future in the show.

Rumour has it that Mahajan allegedly left the show because he didn't want to age or play an on-screen father. Surprisingly, we haven't heard whether the surviving protagonists will be graying their hair. Then, why should Mahajan have this fear?

A source closely associated with the show informs, 'Apparently, that's the theory which is doing the rounds. The surviving actors won't be graying, but Kinshuk is not keen to play a father. Perhaps, he might have bagged another show. Besides, there could be another suspense here".

When contacted, Mahajan said, "I'm out of 'Bidaai' for now, but I won't like to comment on it. Rajan Shahi (producer) and I have an agreement to not to speak on this. Even though I'm out of it, 'Bidaai' will always be my life. I will speak at the appropriate time".

Mahajan refused to comment whether he's bagged another offer. He may be out for now, but never rule out a comeback.

Rajan's Chaand Eclipsed By 'Balika Vadhu'

"We live in times where TRPs fluctuate every week', said Rajan Shahi on 'Bidaai' regaining the top spot on Star Plus.

After the latest TAM rating, Shahi couldn't help but feel a sense of Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam. The joy comes from the fact that 'Bidaai' has marginally retained the number one spot, and 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' continues to be in the top 5. The gam (grief) though is reflected in the below average performance of 'Chaand Chhupa Badal Mein' – Shahi's new show that launched on June 28 at the 8.00 pm slot.

According to TAM data, week 27 (June 27–July 3), 'Chaand Chhupa Badal Mein' could only muster an average TVR of 1.5 (Hindi speaking markets) in its opening week. The inaugural episode garnered a TVR of 1.8. That declined on Tuesday (1.6) and Wednesday (1.5). The following day it dropped to 1.3 before closing the week at 1.4 TVR on Friday.

While it's too early to write off 'Chaand Chhupa Badal Mein', this love story is far behind Shahi's 'Bidaai' and 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' that drew in excess of 3 TVR in its opening episode. The latter, in fact, created a record of sorts having gained over 5 TVR for any new show in that year.

Just a fortnight back, things looked good for 'Chaand Chhupa…' as slot leader 'Balika Vadhu' had fallen behind Zee TV's 'Jhansi's Ki Rani'. One expected 'Chaand…' to ride on this wave, but it wasn't to be. In fact, 'Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai', the show that made way for 'Chaand…', drew an average TVR of 2.3 in its last week.

Colors' 'Balika Vadhu' reclaimed bragging rights at the 8.00 pm slot by generating an average TVR of 4.1 – a good 9 percent more than the preceding week. The Sphere Origins show clocked a peak TVR of 5.0 on Thursday, June 24. 'Balika Vadhu' opened the week with a TVR of 3.5, reached 3.6 next day, before crossing the 4 and 5 mark on Wednesday and Thursday respectively. The rating dropped to 4.0 on Friday.

Though its average TVR increased from 3.5 to 3.7, Zee TV's 'Jhansi Ki Rani' that was slot leader in the previous week, couldn't touch the 4 TVR mark this time.

The surprise packet was SAB TV's new show 'Papad Pol', that upset the balance at the 8.00 pm slot. 'Papad Pol' opened with a TVR of 1.9, but closed the week with 1.1. SAB won't complain as they never saw such numbers at that slot. 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' reached a new high by garnering a peak TVR of 3.7. This performance enabled SAB to reach an all time high of 105 GRPs.

'Bidaai' (5.9) continued to be the top rated show, while 'Pavitra Rishta', that had dropped to number 17 last week, just narrowly missed on reclaiming the top spot with 5.8 TVR.

Meanwhile, Star Plus fell below the 400 GRP mark, but continued to lead the GEC table with 362 GRPs. Colors was second with 269 GRPS, while Zee TV (228) remained at third position.

Guni joins Bidaai

STAR Plus' Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai has seen new entry in teenager Guni, played by Shafaq Naaz who plays Naveen and Avni Rajvansh's (Vimarsh Roshan and Preeti Puri) daughter.

Guni shares a great camaraderie with her Ragini chachi (Parul Chauhan). Shafaq, who plays Guni, hails from Meerut and is a trained dancer. She has learned dance from renowned choreographer Saroj Khan. Dancing is her passion but acting is something that she always wanted to take up as a profession.

Says Guni, "I am a very bubbly and energetic girl who is very close to her family and especially Ragini chachi and Anmol Chachu (Apoorva Agnihotri). I am also very fond of Vasu dadi but I fear her equally as she comes across as a stern lady. I have just returned from my boarding school."

The actress had auditioned for the character of Guni a couple of months ago and had to wait for another month and a half to get the nod from the channel and the producer. "After giving the audition I didn't get any response from the production house so I wasn't even sure if I would land up with the role. But my one and half months long wait ended on a great note after I got a call from the production house to join the show. I feel like I am on cloud nine as Bidaai is one of the top rated shows and debuting on STAR Plus is like a dream come true! I am enjoying the stint to the core."

Naveen and Avni have been known to plot and scheme against the family for their property. Now only time will tell with Guni will follow their ideology for Ragini chachi or will it be a case of 'like parents-like child'.

Rumour has it that Sara Khan popularly known as Sadhna of Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai has been approached to be part of the upcoming fourth season of Bigg Boss on Colors this year.

Our source says, "Yes, we are just about to start approaching people for our new season. We did approach Sara, however things are yet to get finalised. The channel and the production house will take the final decision who to sign for. We are clueless about what happened next with Sara's offer."

On the other hand Khan denied this rumour, saying, "These are all rumours everyone is spreading about me ever since I got a break from Bidaai. The media has been writing stories about me doing a film, Bigg Boss, Imagine's reality show etc etc. Above all they never bother to confirm a thing with me. Fact is there are chances I may comeback in Bidaai after two months.

"As far as Bigg Boss is concerned I am a party animal and I cannot stay away fromAli (Merchant) for such a long time. I have been getting lots of offers from various people but as soon as I tell them that I may come back in Bidaai within two months they just don't revert. I am also interested in dance reality shows only if any such offer comes my way I will accept it. At this moment I am enjoying my break and planning a tour abroad with my family. I have taken up few corporate shows for performances and will judge a fashion show at Delhi. That is all I have in hand."

It is said Bigg Boss 4 is expected to go on air by this year-end and makers have started preparing for this show six months in advance. This time too, the venue (Lonavla) will remain the same.
