Apurva Agnihotri debuted in the film Pardes, co-starring with Shahrukh Khan and directed by Subhash Ghai. The film was highly successful and garnered Agnihotri a nomination for Best Supporting Actor in 1997's Zee Cine Awards.
After several more film roles, he was offered the lead role in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, an Indian television serial. His work as Armaan Suri won him the Indian Telly awards Best Actor Award for 2005.
He is a 1995 graduate of B. A. Political Science from George Washington University in Washington, D. C., USA.
Personal life
Apurva is married to actress Shilpa Sakhlani. The couple are currently parents to a dog called Hollywud Agnihotri, who has the unique distinction of perhaps being the first dog to have a Facebook profile to his name, often mistaken for that of Apurva. Apparently, Apurva has been appointed as "DAD".
