Part 1- Ranvir's Ragini
Situated in one of the most scenic places in Agra was a huge Bunglow, much more like a Palace. It belonged to a person called ANMOL SAREEN. Anmol was a carefree person. He was a complete businessman, with no feelings whatsoever. He didn't have anybody he could call his own. He had no family. He didn't understand what a family was, or how it was. His only companion was alchohol. He didn't care about anything in the world, anybody in the world. Girlfriends came and went, but they were only GFs, nothing else. Love meant nothing to him. He just didn't feel this feeling. He couldn't. He didn't even try. The world called him a cassanova, he didn't care. Nothing bothered him. Not a worry in the world. He loved this carefree life of his until someone came knocking at the doors of his life.
HE was RANVIR RAJVANSH- A handsome, young man. He had come to purchase a land which belonged to Anmol. Anmol gave him a place in his house & treated him like a guest. Little did he know what Ranvir would bring with him. Soon, Ranvir and him became good friends. Ranvir shared everything about his life with Anmol. His life was his family. He told Anmol everything about his family- his Dad, Mom, Brother, dead Sister-in-law, his Kids, and most importantly, his Wife. Ranvir spent a lot of time talking about his wife- Ragini. He told Anmol about their Love Story, how she changed his life et al. He told Anmol about Ragini's loving, forgiving, innocent, and caring nature. Ranvir loved Ragini a LOT. His talks, his eyes, everything about him showed that.
Whenever Anmol heard about Ragini, he felt lonely and couldn't help but wish for a companion like Ragini. Ranvir's talks about Ragini taught him about love. He knew that something was missing from his life. It was LOVE. He never bothered about having it before, but now, it had changed. He never thought it could be so good, so refreshing, so nice, and sweet. Oh! How he wished he had love in his life. Everytime he heard the word "Ragini" from Ranvir's mouth, it made him wonder whether there was someone as lovely as Ragini made for him. Could there be another Ragini in this world?- he wondered..Tried to search for answers to his questions. The answer was quite clear. In a world of hatred, how could there be something as lovely as her? In a world of lies, how could there be something as true as her? In a world of grudges, how could there be something as forgiving as her? In a world of dirt, how could there be something as pure as her? The answer was- NO. He had come across many people in his life, but never across someone like Ragini. There was only one Ragini, and she belonged to Ranvir. Oh! How jealous he was of Ranvir! He so wished to live Ranvir's life. He wished for it so badly that once he let his wish slip from his mouth when he was talking to Ranvir. Little did he know what he had spoken.
RANVIR and ANMOL were taking a walk in a hilly area. They were chatting away happily when few stones came rolling towards them, threatening to kill them. Ranvir acted fast. He pushed Anmol away, but couldn't find enough time to get away from the stones. This left him very badly injured. Anmol rushed Ranvir to a nearby hospital where the Doctor informed him that the injuries were quite serious and there is no much hope left. Anmol immediately called up Rajvansh house to let them know what happened to Ranvir. A lady answered his call. He told her that Ranvir was badly injured, gave her the hospital's address, cut the call and rushed to Ranvir's side. Ranvir was conscious. He knew that his death was near. He spoke to Anmol in a very low voice, and Anmol could see how much Ranvir loved his family. How great his love towards his family was..So great that all he could think of in his last moments was his family, and their well being. He asked Anmol to get married to Ragini and take care of his family, and always keep them, especially Ragini happy, and also requested him not to tell anybody the real reason he died (Saving Anmol, that is), but instead, asked him to tell that it was only an accident. He asked ANMOL to become RANVIR. Anmol couldn't believe it. He always wanted this, but when it came, he was hesitant to take it. How could he? He was Anmol- someone who was poles apart from Ranvir. He wasn't up for it. He knew Ranvir's family would not accept him. How could they? They loved Ranvir. Ranvir assured him that everything would be fine and reminded him that he had already promised. Anmol could do nothing but simply give in to his friend's wishes.
RAGINI stormed into the room Ranvir was in. Ranvir was in a pathetic state. He was bloody and weak, lying almost lifelessly on the bed. She noticed that some sort of a figure was sitting beside him, but didn't take it in. She had eyes only for Ranvir- Her Ranvir who was damaged beyond repair. She sat beside him assuring him that nothing would happen to him. But, Ranvir spoke the exact words she DIDN'T want to hear. He told her that his death was near and asked her to do something which was beyond her. Firstly, he didn't want his photo to be seen anywhere in the Rajvansh house and neither did he want anybody to take his name. He didn't want his daughter- Tamanna to know that somebody called Ranvir ever existed. Secondly, he asked Ragini to get married to ANMOL. He assured her that Anmol would take care of her, and the family, and would always keep them happy. She couldn't do that. How could she? She was Ranvir's, ONLY Ranvir's. How could Ranvir think about something as insane as that?! She refused to do so, but he was adamant. She had to simply give in to his wishes. Soon after, her Ranvir breathed his last. She was broken, broken beyond repair. Her everything was gone. She was gone. She cried her heart out over her Ranvir's body. She was beyond consolable. Yet, she could feel something very comforting on her shoulders, even during the time of such distress. She didn't acknowledge it, but her unconscious mind was thankful that it was there...
Anmol couldn't bear to see Ragini cry. Never had he seen someone in so much pain. Perhaps this is how one feels when love is gone... Anmol could see how much Ragini loved Ranvir and how much pain his death had caused her. He wanted to comfort her. But what could he do? He listened to Ranvir-Ragini's conversation. Every word spoken revealed the love they had for each other. He saw Ranvir breathe his last. He couldn't bear it. His death caused him immense pain, though he had known Ranvir only for a few days. He didn't even want to think about the pain Ragini was going through right now. Yet, he could feel it. It broke his heart. He remembered about his promise to Ranvir about keeping Ragini and the family happy. He vowed to himself that he would keep them (Ranvir's family), especially Ragini happy. He knew it was a difficult task, and few minutes back, he didn't think he was up for it. But now, he was. Ragini's tears changed him. He knew he had to be there for her..How could he leave the person who taught him about love, and pain to deal with all the miseries alone? Yes, Ragini had taught him everything. Ranvir's talks about Ragini taught him about love. To him, Ragini was love. Her love was love. And now, Ragini's tears taught him about pain. He never understood these before..But now that he did, he wanted to ease Ragini's pain because...He didn't know because of what, but he had to. Ranvir trusted him, so all he had to do was trust himself.
Ragini was crying uncontrollably over Ranvir's body. Anmol watched her helplessly. He could do nothing but place a comforting hand over her shoulder, which he did, very hesitantly. She, however, didn't acknowledge it and Anmol understood that he had a long way to go...
