The day it seemed to change everything.........
The life had started to get back to normal for Both Anmol and Ragini..whatever that normal could be.It was as if the 6 long years had melted somewhere down the road; as if fate had brought them in this present out of cold long road which was now full of mist lost somewhere.......
Ragini was walking in garden,it was full moon and October had a little evening chill in air, She had a shawl wrapped around her,her head bent she was just absently taking a stroll in garden,deep in thought and not looking where she was going.
It had all changed day she had seen him walking inside with his shirt wrinkled and few buttons were undone....his sleeves rolled and his hands holding his jacket behind his shoulder.....a crack had appeared inside that ice that surrounded her heart from time of ranvir's death.She had seen his tired eyes seeking hers and seeking comfort from just looking at her ; showing a rare glimpse of man inside.It had sent a jolt of electricity inside her. All she could think of was him . But comfort him ,sit beside him on the bed while he took his shoes off,hold his sweet face and wipe those beads of perspiration from his brow with her sari palu......suddenly she stilled while walking in the garden ..how could she think like this ,her own pallu when had she started to think of him as her companion.A soft glow was slowly spreading on her face.She was totally unaware of the changes in her expressions.A thought came in her mind only few days ago how they had gotten stuck in storm on their way back from Kanpur.How Anmol had sheltered her and sat in corner of that tiny hut while she slept in blissful dreamless sleep.Suddenly she felt uncomfortable,how could she be so careless.Even as a human being she could have offered him that chadar covering the charpai . But Life had become so dependent on anmol how he had made those defense walls crumble she had not known.All she knew was she could not imagine life without him.How he had become much more than a friend ...when had it happened.
She shivered as it was dark totally,she paused and sat on a bench beside her favorite fountain.It was playing a soft music of life slowly.Sound of water started to soothe her and she went into a blissful state. A calm came over her .Thinking about Anmol always brought her this calm,yet there was restlessness today.She wanted to see his face,see his slight smile and his hesitant silent eyes who spoke to her despite her reluctance to ever look into those deep pools of nectar.
Anmol was sitting in his office. He had been reading a important tax file with frown on his forehead.Why Mr. Rajwansh has to mess up things.How he could have been home already.He would have helped Tammy and khushi with homework and made Ragini blush with those stares he was becoming so good at.Thinking of Ragini brought a smile on his face then he started to get angry and frustrated .How he longed to be beside Ragini but she would find a excuse to do some important work as always.File in front of him was leaping out its cover staring at him.Yet he deliberately ignored it and thought of other day how she ha fallen into his arms like a ripe plum.She had smelled like a little girl ,roses and jasmines ..were bringing strange feelings inside him.But then as always she just ran.He could feel her response,he knew she was not immune to him.But why was she fighting him. he knew he could never take that first step to wards her.His mood fully spoiled he attacked that file.
he looked at some loose papers just stuck in there. he grabbed the stapler and stapled papers together.ouch......he had hurt himself...Damn Damn Damn. he was so agitated . he pulled a rough hand across his hair and closed his eyes and inhaled deeply.Suddenly phone rang and brought him out of his stupor.He saw Ragini's cell phone ID flashing .He ignored it and dug into work.
Ragini was so worried and agitated.Gudi had just informed her Anmol had not come home and she had called his cell and office phone without any answer.she paced garden restlessly .she knew he must be busy yet she was worried and by 10 she had worked herself into frenzy .Kids had gone to bed and she was back inside hour or so ago.
2 hrs later Ragini's phone long forgotten he got up . and grabbed his jacket and headed home.Ragini heard his car and saw him stepping out of his car.She was so angry to see his handsome face deep in thought ,oblivious to world around him and walking inside.She told gudi to warm his food and went back outside to her favorite bench.It was cold and waterfall was creating a misty atmosphere.She shivered and sat there sulking.Why was she sulking and being so childish. she did not know.
Anmol wa s already tired when he changed clothes and sat on dining table to find Ragini was not even in kitchen.Gudi said sweetly bhaiya bhabhi tehal rahi hai baag mein unhein ghutan ho rahi thee. Damn that woman. He almost threw his plate aside. but there was a rage building inside him .Somehow he forced himself to eat and went out.He saw her huddled on bench with mist floating around her it looked so ethereal he became enchanted and went to her and softly said Ragini
Ragini he shook her . she opened her eyes saw him and just hugged him as if in dream ..kahaan chale gaye the...phone nahi uthaya . i was so worried.He could feel the trembling sensation of ragini in him.He held her close savoring the moment . All his worries forgotten.
Suddenly she pushed hi m away and couldn't meet his eyes and opened her mouth .. wo main...Anmol interrupted her You have some thing important to do. Of course i know.She was stunned by his reply. That pent up anger was surprise.

Anmol couldn't believe his ears . This woman was un believable she was just a conflicting soul one moment she was hugging him,next moment she behaved as if he did not matter.
some thing snapped inside him.
he came forward and grabbed her arms and pulled her close.HE intently looked in her eyes. Anmol yeh kya kar rahe hain aap ..he kept looking gosh those eyes they were making her drown in them. suddenly he pushed her aside and she she was free. She took a step to run from him,run from her heart .....but he grabbed her hand from behind and pulled her.She bumped into his chest and listened to his racing heart for a second. he tilted her face up toward him with his finger.HE looked in her eyes then his expressions changed to longing and anguish as if silently saying .RAgini don't you know I love you ....he said softly in his heart. she looked at him with a melting look and he let her go and went to the pillar on side.Ragini ran from there . he turned to see her form disappearing in mist . he turned and just smashed his fist damn you ragini damn you..when will you listen when will you understand............
