I think they want to show the similarities between Khushi's and Sadhna's life. But, Khushi is living in her own house and her case is different than Sadhna's.

@highlighted,Pallavi, this is exactly what I was thinking too.
Khushi should have been in totally contrary situation.She should have been pampered by Vasu and Indu as she is motherless.I think this is the limit for Raagini, what she can give to Khushi.Her thinking goes to feeding, loving and taking care of Tammy and Khushi's needs equally, but she cannot reach the close to Khushi's heart and has been Khushi's Masi ma, and that's it!
I had expected that Khushi and Tammy are going to grow up like twins.But here the picture is totally different .Though Khushi is can be at a better situation than Sadhana, they have showed her helplessness just like Sadhana's and already given her Sadhana's maturity and nature!!
It definitely hurts to see Khushi's in those situation and no one to help her.

True....

Khushi's situation is different than Sadhna's though there are some similarities. Sadhna was all alone in between people like Kaushi-Nani. Khushi doesnt have any vamps in her life. She has a more secured life.

However, having said this, the void in her life which was created due to her mother's absence can never be filled. But, a child behaving like this in her own house is something unbelievable. Why cant Vasu and Indu take care of her? Why is Khushi shown so helpless just like her mother?

I don't know that khushi will be self sacrificing for others but I can see it for tammy as she might feel Ragini and tammy are doing her a favor by treating her good or that Ragini is treating her the same way as she treats tammy even though she is not her own daughter. That is why it would have been nice if khushi would have been told she is also Ragini and Anmol's daughter until she was grown up to understand the workings of relationships.

Even if the rajvansh family is not a vamp like kaushi n nani were to saadhna, yet khushi feels insecure in the house n that's y she has no confidence like Tammy has. Khushi feels like a burden in her own house. She sees her unstable father who might also be a burden. Saadhna's case was different cuz she had someone strong like mamaji in her life n a good sister in ragi but khushi is lacking that strong person to hold her hand n walk through every difficult situation. Khushi has to do that on her own n that's y we see a mature girl in her already where as Tammy is a spoilt child n gets to live her childhood.

She needs Alekh. She understands the "khoon ki kashish" thing...she can be showered with everything from her entire family...but she is Alekh's own flesh and blood...so at the end of the day...she needs him. Papa ki beti...no matter what condition Papa is in.

When my Mami died, my uncle was left with 4 children...my Nani showered them with all kinds of love...spent nights making them meetha parathas...loving them...but when "Daddy" used to come home from the clinic, that's when their faces would light up...and all four would lie on the bed with him together...like a lion and his cubs....

I'm not watching the show...it's too painful for me now...I saw two episodes post leap and Khushi's eyes have the same sadness as her Mamma...and I can't stand it...she deserved to be raised by Sadhna...what a mother Sadhna would have bee! And angel...with her little angel...and when Khushi was born, and Alekh was at his happiest...he held her so gingerly...he would have treated her like his little princess...but now he can't...

I agree that Vasu needs to do more...she is a Dadi...Khushi is her blood too...she needs to be more hands on with Khushi...because Khushi has to live the biggest tragedy of her life every single day, through her father...and one day she will understand that her mother was *so* precious...that her father went mad without her.
