Even I was wondering the same. Everyone treats khushi and tamanna equally in the house, I've never seen anyone favoring one over the other, then why does khushi have low self confidence and why is she not the happy go lucky type that tamanna is? Someone somehow must have made her feel that way that she is motherless and all. Maybe this is the basis for future story and might be revealed. Or would it have been a good idea they could have told khushi that she is also Ragini and Anmol's daughter and she could have known about Sadhna and Aalekh just the way tammy knows about them as chacha chachi/maasi ma. Then they could have revealed the truth to both the girls about Sadhna/aalekh and also Ranvir when they were a little older say 12 or 13.

I think because khushi knew she was not Ragini's daughter, she could not bond with her the same way tamanna did.

It will probably be one of the reason.No matter how close she gets to Ragini, and no matter how well Ragini treats her,she will ever remain her "Masi ma" .
She is close to her "Masima" alot more then any other kid is to hers/his Masima, and Ragini has done more than any Masima could have done, treating her equally like her own daughter in every sense.But her not being Khushi's real mother has some effects which is why Khushi is not as confident or close to Ragini as Tammy is.
As all are saying , knowing about her mom's demise and her dad's condition maybe the factor!!
I can understand Khushi is very shy , shows less confidence in this sense, but why can't she be good at studies?

its not yet shown "khushi is not good in studies", the dialogue of Mamaji to Kavya is not that clear yet. It includes a word "ATLEAST like Tamanna"...so we have to wait and watch

Thats the reason she can never see anyone sad and tries to maintain a low profile and always be understanding towards others.

Is khushi's fortune really different from Sadhna's. It seems she is again going to be burdened with the same issue of fair-dark by people like Kaushi. Sadhna received love from everyone except Kuashi, this seems also to repeat for her daughter from Kaushi. Sadhna never could get the love of her father, same for Khushi who also despite father's presence is not getting father's love.

I feel except for her being a granddaughter of an affluent family, their basic fortunes and destinies are similar....Khushi, Sadhna ka parchhiayee, Sadhna's ladli, who knows what lies ahead of you....
