Yes, its usually tied after doing a pooja.

Yes maybe
But today i saw one Veenu was wearing and also Kushi
Looks like its somthing like a sacred string or just a friendship band..
But yes he does wear somthing always I mean Apu

well i have always seen him wid the sacred red thread which is worn after a pooja, i guess the other casts have it on for the same reason
