If fair skinned people are considered stereotypically beautiful or superior ... its not their fault. Just dont consider people on the basis of their skin tone ... and u'll be just fine.

Parul is saying that she is confident about herself ... lets not make this a Gora vs. Kala race. Everyone is beautiful in their own way.

She wasn't considering people on the basis of their skin tone, rather she was rightly pointing out that people often do this i.e. fair skin people generally being considered more beautiful in society. Get it?
There's nothing taboo about stating the obvious. However there has not been any personal attacks so far. I'm considered quite fair in complexion, I for one found nothing wrong. Let's not make a mountain out of a molehill.....

Neither am I making a mountain out of molehill. Not I am saying anything again her or anyone. She is a friend in the forum.

The point is clearly missed by you.

This RACE thing is not good. And if the GORA is considered superior ... its not his/her fault at all.

I guess my posts are clear that Parul's confidence is praiseworthy ... but say that "Gora are now behind" ... Gora's days are over.

I've heard things like these many times now. I dont know ... either people are this way or that way ... my point is that people can be moderate in both ways...

Both colors are good and it depends on the person. And no, beauty is not skin deep at all.

I have seen more whites together with blacks or indian that Indians being with Africans....

So I guess we all need to look into this much more broadly then just our own way.

I believe Parul is looking great and very content about her looks and all. That is very good and very motivatng. She looks good to everyone! Her duskiness has its own beauty!

BUT whats this about GORAs yeh and Goras woh? .... 😕 ....

There can be fair skinned or caucasian people reading this site do u know that???? ... how would they feel?

Being fair skinned does not automatically make someone prejudiced against the dark skinner. So why this attack?? ... I've seen this lately that some really go on to attack he fair skinned.

Gora's are now left beind ... etc ... and Gora's did this or that ... its very mean.

No "ism" is unidirectional ... remember that.

We all can be beautiful in our own ways ... and beauty is not skin deep.

I_T...I_T....I_T......u got me wrong dude.....what i mean is in our minds we always think that the gora rang is superior.....and it does come from the fact that they ruled over us.....i am not saying that they brainwashed us into thinking that way😆....i believe the fairness cream co. are doing the brainwashing......
its our own shortcomings and inferiorities......i am fair skinned myself.......but i do not think i am better than anyone.....but my whole life i have seen girls being rejected on the basis of their skin tone....how humiliating for them.....i cannot even imagine......
anyways... if there are any goras here .....i do apologize

''the goras have left but they left the superiority of their colour in the minds of people''

Her exact quote is above. So who is attacking or blaming the goras?. This is what I meant when I said that things are being blown out of proportion. By you seeing it as an attack, this might make others view it the same way…thus cause arguments. My intention here is only to make it clear somewhat that there has been no attacks, or indirect insults and therefore no need to take it personally.

Point is, Parul has faced a lot of hardship in her life based on her struggle to make it, with her complexion being a factor. So I do agree, society definitely needs to change and things should not be based upon such superficial aspects of human physiology. Nevertheless, she's defied all stereotypical assumptions and has achieved her aspirations. Thus we applaud her for this…

The Raj was not exactly the beginning of this phsychology amongst some. If we study history of India, the fair color was always prefered.

But then its just basically people. And people always need to evolve. Parul's confidence is praiseworthy ...

And I know some caucasians from DM and another very dear person of mine who peeps in here ... wonder if she reads it 😳 .... *** "see dear! 😆" ***

**Mod's Note**

Friends I can see that slowly this thread is turning into a debate zone where members r busy arguiing about which skin colour is superior/...such sensitive issues r suppose to b discussed in a matured way in Debate Mansion Forum and not in a Serial Forum...Its just a simple statement made by Parul as she feels proud of her skin colour..so I don't think there is any need to go into deep details of her quotes and make it an issue here which will only further lead to fights..Hope you all understand this and try to post your comment in more general way..
