no really i thought tht was a very straight-forward answer from ekta...if u dnt like it, dnt watch it, as simple as tht. If saying straight-forward things r called "being ekta", then i m! And how is RS learning anything from her? I think both ekta & RS knw how to depict a sensual scene beautifully without making it look vulgar. They dnt need to learn from nobody. When i watch movies with my family, if some bold scenes come, i go to tv, skip that part or just simply change the channel & turn off the tv. And my family understands really well y i wud do tht & respects the fact tht i think of not watching such stuff wid my family. Not every show is for everybody...shows r gonan show watever they want, its ur will if u wanna watch it or not, its ur tv, not theirs lol.
You are right about your straight forward comment..."if you don't like it, don't watch it, simple"....Its exactly that, we as viewers have all the control to watch what we like and don't like, so y even bother complaining. Also, I think no matter what media shows us small or big screen you just made one very important point. That no matter how far ahead entertainment might have gone from our Indian culture, we as viewers still have a very strong bond with our traditions, teachings and respect for elders, hence you turning of the tv or changing the channel when something vulgar comes up. People still have the Indian culture very well embedded into us that even the changing modern world has still not been able to change that. So let them show what they want to show, we will keep flipping the channel. Its fine I guess if your alone, but we know the difference when we should watch and when we need to skip it and thats the beauty of Indian culture that is still seen in viewers like us. Ekta Kappor is indeed a great producer, and as Bani said, she is the one to really bring small screen to a level high. Her serials are actually very drama packed and desi masala type, which is actually nice sometimes to watch then slow moving serials. She does what she does and RS does what he does. They both are equally great, creativity can never be compared.
