I was personally thrilled with the choice. I want a Salekh stamp put on this song. Personally I'm not such a big fan of Aish or even Hrithik, although the later was tremendous in this song.

There is something thoroughly unique about the Sadhna and Alekh love story...Alekh has gone through a major transformation and Sadhna has gone to hell and back. Sadhna knows Alekh through the highs and lows...but in a way this new Alekh is a mystery to her...however their spirits and depth of love are unchanged...and that's why that night between them will be completely different from any other couple.

Sure, this is about the meeting of two lovers...but it's more than that...it's a victory and a miracle at the same time. Those two should never really have been together to begin with...but they got together...Sadhna loved him and waited for him...and now they can be one.
