after a lot of thinking i m writing this topic. bcos i dont want to keep this in my mind n stomach anymore.😆

well, let me get to the actual topic. i have seen members still speaking abt ruining raginis character and this was said by RS as well, tht spoiling sisters relationship did give him nothing!

but i have another POV to some extent. i think sisters relationship getting spoiled is a reality n this makes bidaai even more realistic. that was a phase that was "required" in bidaai. i agree that i did not give anything.... but what it gave later is what we must see. when ragini came to know abt the truth, she cudnt believe. now she will give n do everything for her sister, just like sadi did. its a fact n its an open truth that ragini never did what sadi did. ok i wont blame ragini, yeh she didnt get the opportunity, nothing came in front of her...atleast not sacrificing herself or her life like how sadi did but now she will find for one and give her life for her sister! now their relation will be even more bonded. now they will love each other even more unconditionally. such tiffs happen in relationships only to make them even more stronger.

therefore for me, ragini was a great sister n a person even before n is even now. i wont blame the directors/producers/cvs for ruining her character. for me it was wanted if not needed!

In reality,a girl like Ragini would never,ever carries on when her sister was lying on the ground,never would speak to her father in such a way in the hospital,never would have remained oblivious to her mother's condition when she used to be so perceptive of her parents and their expressions etc etc.I could list so many things.

When the article about the rift track was published,I had hopes that it would be mutual.Who am I kidding?!!It was almost obvious that it would be from Ragini's side but never,ever to the extent that was showed.As said before many times,she might be an average girl with a balancing tendency,but whatever anyone might say a girl like RAGINI would never have stooped so low,no matter what the circumstances.Most esp the way she behaved with her father.There is no way that would have happened!!

So yes,for me Ragini was ruined since she came back from HM.So many times over and over.

We got to see the BEST scene of her when she realised her mistakes but that's it at least for her!

^ i still cant blame the CVs becos soaps have the tendency to show OTT scenes to frame a character.

Great topic sweetie !!But my take is a little different !!! I don't think Ragini's character was ruined !!! From the starting of the show they have showed Ragini to be a very simple, loving and caring girl, who have been pampered by everyone in the house, who is the apple of her mom's and nani's eye, even more so because of her complexion ! that's the only hardship she faced in her life, which made her family even more loving, caring and protective about her especially Sadhana !!! So when you are pampered all your life and never faced extreme hardships, you do tend to break down when troubles comes to you !! I remember a dialogue by Ragini to Sadhana after Sadhana's marriage to Aalekh, where Ragini admitted herself to Sadhana that she can never do anything like what Sadhana did !!! Sadhana learned her lessons because of her hardships, but Ragini who grew up in a loving environment, when faced with hardships, not only couldn't deal with them, but she all fell victim to people like Kaushi's and Vasu's brain washing !!That's why i really believe when RS said that Sadhana-Ragini rift was planned from the inception of Bidaai.

I also have to say this,I never thought Ragini would be same again after what she said and did but Parul made Ragini's repentance more real!Its how she develops from here is worth watching I guess.

Well,RS himself admitted that they experimented with Ragini's character!

And it is expected from other shows,this complete turnaround of a particular character but never from Bidaai esp after seeing the different Ragini for 2 years

good take as well. and what i m trying to say is tht such things (what u said, falling victims to other ppl n stuff) actually happens. all i want to say is tht bidaai required a phase like this. i wud never believed if there wud have been NO rift between sadi n ragi till the end of bidaai.

Xaviara,I understand what you are saying that Ragini broke down when faced with difficulties.But would a person's basic characteristic's change?Leave aside everything,would a girl like Ragini behave the way she did with her father.Ok,she was mad with her father,but what about her mother?She was on her side.What happened to that Ragini who was able to have one look at her mother's face and feel that something's not right?And all of a sudden she gets this 'feeling' after the dance competition!!!

@ affy : absolutely agree with u !!! every relationship in this world has a rift in a lifetime !! if there isn't then it completely un natural !! infact if there are no rifts then it means there is no love in that relationship !!! you only get mad with those whom the most !!! so agree with you 100 % !!!

Smitha, i don't think her characteristics was changed actually, in fact since the first day of Bidaai, thats what the CV's were showing us that when faced with hurdles and problems Ragini's character will faler and fall victim to her mom's brain washing at one point of time !!! Her breaking point started with Ranvir going to jail and then loosing he baby !! That when in pain she will lash out at everyone, including her dad, and as for her mom, she didn't notice anything wrong with her, because she was busy in her married life because her hubby just got out of jail !! That's why I say her character wasn't ruined, or her characteristics were changed because she was bound to act like this one day or another when she reached her breaking point which she did.
