Chapter 2
Ragini steps out into the Mumbai Railway Station, and is surprised by the crowd. She herself, had not seen these many people back in her home town of Agra. These were alot of people, but Ragini thought this was what made Mumabi different in the first place. It's people. Ragini gives her exist ticket to the conducter, who doesn't show her a smile, unlike her Champak Kaka back in Agra, who used to smile at her, everytime, she came to the station. Mumbai was different. A unique different. It was fast paced, big and carried out dreams of many people.
Ragini steps out in the railway station parking lot, where she saw a white mercedes parked, with a driver carrying the name plate titled 'Ragini Sharma -Agra'. Ragini smiles and walks over to the car.
"Namaste" Ragini says, in order to look polite. She folds her hands infront of the driver, who looked like he was in his mid-30s. "Mera naam Ragini hai."
The driver checks her out. Her way of dressing, which was a typical Indian churidaar. "Namaste. Vasundara mem-saab ne kaha tha, ki main aap ko ghar le jaa oon. Ek minute."
The driver opens the door for Ragini to take a seat in. While driving back to the Rajvansh Mansion, Ragini couldn't sigh but take awe of the buildings, people and traffic. Ragini saw huge buildings, big malls, alot of cars and despite that, even more people. Mumbai was going to be an adventure, and she knew it.
The driver, Bahadur, as Ragini had found his name to be, parked the car infront of the house and helped Ragini get her luggage inside the house. Once inside the house, Ragini couldn't help but be in awe of the decorations, texture and interior of the house. The house was big, no doubt. As Ragini continued to look around the house, Bahadur placed the luggage inside.
"Ragini ji, mem-saab abhi aati hi hoongi." Bahudur says, before going back to the car. Ragini nods her head, but before Bahadur could see, he disappeared.
Ragini waited and waited, but no one came. After which, she decided to do some snooping and went towards the wall of pictures. There were pictures of a lady, which most possibly looked like Vasundra ji, seeing from her mom's description of her and Vasundra ji's husband -Inderjit to her 2 sons, Alekh -the elder one, who was going to get married soon and Ranvir, the younger one, who was about a year older then her.
As she looks around, she turns around to find someone entering from the main door. Her heart beating, she turns around to find a girl, about a year older then she was, pop in. She was pretty, with long brown hair. Ragini smiles and walks over to that girl, who was wearing a light pink churidaar.
"Hi, Ragini, Ragini Sharma. Main abhi abhi Agra se aayi hoon." Ragini says introudcing herself.
The girl gives a soft smile in return. "Sadhna. Sadhna Khanna, Alekh's would-to-be-wife."
"Oh, toh woh aap hai? Congratulations." Ragini replies back, while Sadhna smiles.
"Thanks." Sadhna replies back.
