I think some of the characters in Bidaai are bases on our Devi and Devtas in Mahabarat and Ramayan.

For example:

Ranvir and Ragini are Lord Kishan and Radha

a) Ranvir is mischevious like Lord Kishan

b) Ragini looks older where Radha was older than Lord Kishan

The only difference in this relationship that Radha is darker than Lord Kishan.

Alekh and Ranvir are Ram and Lakshman

Alekh and Sadhna are Ram and Seeta

Bauji is Janak Raja

Kaushi is the female version of Kansa Mama and she is also Kakai Bharat's mother. In this case she wants to banish Seeta from the Kingdom.

Last of all Nanji is Kakai's maid (can't remember her name) who was always poisoning her mind.

i feel Vasu is more like kaikeyi coz kaikeyi was good before manthra poisoned her head with all the nonsense..... vasu likes ragini but only to a particular limit......
