you know what...? i have also wondered the same thing for awhile now. respect for your elders is one thing, but she gets to walk over EVERY single person in the house, including those her age and those probably older (like ambika, who i think is older than her). i just don't get it. who gave her all the authority, especially when she doesn't do crap for any of the financial situations in the household... all she does is mope around the house, call her "page 3" friends, and try to prove to everyone how rich she is, not to mention always trying to tarnish the reputation of sharma family (ragini's family). and the way she treats sadhna, good god, its is absolutely SHOCKING and completely unacceptable. she doesn't respect sadi at all. i wonder why sadi doesn't stand up to her already, and give her what she deserves. if i were sadi, i would talk to her about it, and ask her to respect me, if that doesn't work, next time i would DEMAND it from her. just because she's sadi's mother-in-law, and is elder to her, doesn't mean she can treat her like dirt. as they say, you gotta give respect to get it.
