I normally don't cry when someone is being rude to me, especially if someone is being rude to my family because that's my personality. I have learned through experience that you don't always have to show your backbone. But Vasu is Sadis family now, so she treating her like her mom. Sadhna would not show her backbone towards Mamaji or Mamiji, she would probably handle the situation in a loving manner. So Sadhna is showing a lot of respect

I dont want to start an argument with you priya. lets just agree to disagree😃. I think that there is a time for handling situations in a loving and gentle manner and there is a time to stand up and fight for your self respect and dignity. I think in indian serials we see plenty of love and gentleness but not enuff self respect and willpower. The only character that comes even close is the original Tulsi of KYSBKBT. But everyone handles their life differently. So let's end this particular argument here.

my understanding about this... i meant stand up for ourselves is down to our upbringing and our enviroment.
I was brought up with loving parents but I have 8 siblings. Most of my older sisters are stubborn and they like to do things according to their ways.
Whenever someone crosses their limits, they'll do something to that person. They will never let others to have the last words. So they will keep figthing and fighting and at the end they dont know what they are arguing about.
Unlike my siblings, I am the only one who uses silence in dealing with some stupid people. After they finish their last sentence, I'll try to knock something into their head. I say it in my way and I never use harsh word or behaving rude.
Most of the time, my last punch stops others from harrasing me. Like it or not, they need to hear my saying. My parents taught me not to be rude to other. Yeah I follow their value but only when circumstance allows me to do that. If i deal with an idiot, I'll just walk away and blank his stupid remarks. I dont argue with stupidity.

Seeing where Sandhna lives and what she has to give up for standing up to Vasu it is obvious why she doesn't stand up to Vasu!

She has her husband and her mamaji's reputation (outside in society) to live up too!!! she can't afford to break up with her family and leave her husband.. and what can Sandhna do.. she is not scheming like Vasu or even selfish!! she just got to involved!!
I would love sandhna to stand up for herself and just give it back to Vasu like she did to her!!! but it is not in sandhna's personality to be confrontational!
lovely topic

Your right lets drop it. SInce this is a family matter that's why I am saying to handle it gently. Because family is going to stay family, no need to point fingers. Yes, if it was a outsider thenI would stand up immediately.

being silent, or loving etc is good to a certain or maybe even a lot of extent. I feel Vasu has gone passed the limit that anyone can even think about remaining silent.

1st she tricked Sadhna into marrying Aalekh and she played too many tricks so that Sadhna is left with no choice but to marry Aalekh.

In this matter its no fault of Sadhna's. R R started talking to each other by themselves, Sadhna as she knows both realized that it was "Ragini" and "Ranvir". Sadhna did not trick or trap or plan for things btw R R to happen, she may have helped them a little but the feelings were theirs.

If Vasu had just put the blame on Sadhna and shouted at her and Sadhna had remained quiet it may have been understandable, but still i would have liked her to answer back.

Vasu crossed all limits of decency by going over to Mamaji's place and accusing them and calling Ragini dark and ugly, the way she took Sadhna to Mamaji's house was like she is presenting a hardcore criminal in front of Mamaji, and Sadhna with her attitude was proving Vasu right.

Mamaji was the only 1 who showed some strength and self-respect. I just wish others would have derived strength from him and faced Vasu.

In the party where Aalekh was 1st shown and guests called him "pagal" she did not like it and got angry at them. Here she calls someone elses kid (Ragini) dark and ugly.

Vasu reminds me of the "School Bully", she seems to bully anyone and everyone who will not follow her wishes. Only another Bully will be able to put her back in her place.

I hope someone does that soon.

Even if daughter is forgiven for doing so a Bahu is never forgiven and is bad mouthed by the entire family infront of whole world. And I am saying this from my own experience.

When I got married, my parents-in-law used to say all bad stuff about my parents infront of me to everyone and I opposed that. Not only did they talk bad about me to their relatives but also to my parents, my husbnad and my relatives. They are extremely happy when I do not say anything but cry infront of them and do nautanki like putting my head on their feet and crying..............
i had to do so in order to keep my husband happy who knew nothing of me then. Same way I think Sadhna cannot speak infront of Vau because her husband is of no use and if she does that Vasu ghar se nikaal degi ab usko
But by gods grace I have come over all that and the worst phase of life is probably over

That's really sad, I happy to hear things are better for you now. I wish we had husbands that stood up to the in-laws. You probabaly changed a lot in the process, better knowledgable person on how to deal with those kind of situations.
Hey Yaar, Alekh does stand up to his Sadi, she is lucky hes on her side.
