actually the thing is that santoshi is a villager and poor naive girl.. she is uneducated too... remember she was to get married in d start to some guy she dint even know and she was happy too... the thing is such girls dont have high expectations like rosy love story before marriage etc...they just find it normal to marry and let their husbands consummate with them whether they r in love on not.. actually madhu had accepted santoshi in front of the family so she probably thinks that she is accepted in the house.. dhairya on other hand is way more sophesticated even though a brat... so their pair needs like both to walk a long distance to understand from where both r coming from..

guess santoshi might get a bit modern and matured with time and understand how things work in city bred ppls life..
