Salaam Zindagi- Remake of Hit serial Udaan

"Salaam Zindagi" is a new serial on Sony Entertainment Television. The serial has started from 10 December 2007 at 8- 30 pm from Monday to Friday.
It is a story of an 18 year old girl Manya who chooses to be a cop to fulfill his grand father's dream. Manya's father was a police officer. He died on the duty when Manya was very young. Manya's father death shattered Manya's grand father Hawaldar Vaidji's dream and his desire to live. When one day her dadu see her dressed in a police officer's uniform, Manya see a spark in his eyes. So she decides to be a cop for bringing her dadu back to life. And from this point her struggle begins. She has to face many personal and professional hurdles.
This serial reminds us the famous TV serial "Udaan" on Doordarshan. It was a great serial and the role played by Kavita Chaudhary was fabulous.
So we can say that Salaam Zindagi is a remake of the hit TV series Udaan with some changes. "Salaam Zindagi" is produced by Sphere Origins (producers of Saat Phere and Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand).
The lead role is played by Pariva Pranati. Before this she has also done serials like Bhabi, Virudhh etc. The other cast includes: Deepak Qazir, Anita Kulkarni, Gopi Desai etc
