Last Episode December 10, 2007

We introduce Manya Sharma, a girl next door, simple, positive, with family values intact... A girl who is just like you and me. Her biggest passion is dance. She is a very talented 'kathak' dancer. Mirchi, as her mother is fondly called, surprises her with a letter from the National Dance Academy stating that she's been selected to join the academy. Manya excitedly tells her grandfather, Havaldar Vaidji, about it. Mirchi and Nani watch her as Manya tries to connect, in vain, with her grandfather. Havaldar Vaidji has never shown any sign of life in the past 19 years – he went into a shell, after his only son, Anoop (Manya's father who was a police officer), died on the first day of duty. Havaldar Vaidji's only dream was to see his son as a successful police officer and with Anoop, died Havaldar Vaidji's dream and desire to live... Manya's biggest achievement now would be to bring her grandfather back to life... She hopes she can one day do this through her dance... Manya goes to college to rehearse for their annual function and discovers that she has to fill in for a role in a play as the lead actress has had an accident. Later that night Manya comes home in a police uniform uniform. She tells Mirchi about the play and starts rehearsing her lines. Suddenly, Havaldar Vaidji gets up from his chair and walks over to Manya. Both Manya and Mirchi stand frozen, as Havaldar Vaidji comes face to face with Manya and salutes her!
