Brief Synopsis for my dear friends (and especially for Vasu darling 🤗) is as follow:
- Serial starts with Manya being shown as an avid follower of classical dance. She aspires to become the next best classical dancer of the country.
- She has lost her dad to a police encounter (her dad and grand dad were both in police force). Her grand dad has lost all his senses to communicate with the world and has been in a state of shock following his son's death ever since Manya was little.
- One thing lead to another and Manya figures out that the only way to bring her grand dad back to reality is if she sacrifices her dreams of becoming a dancer and joins the police academy.
- Manya meets Akash (who saves her from getting busted by a robber while she tries to help a lady with her stolen jewellery) before she joins the academy.
- Everyone picks on Manya (except for her friend Roopa aka Akash's first crush/love interest).
- She is being humiliated for being a sensitive and not so tough girl who wants to become a police officer when she should be taking care of the household chores (the typical "male-dominated" view that women can never be equal to men..).
- Slowly and steadily, Manya beats all the odds against her and saves Akash from being expelled out from the academy by taking the blame of a prank gone wrong out of the goodness of her heart..Akash was not at fault though and was framed in that prank..
- Seeing this, Akash's heart melts towards her and he starts regarding Manya her best friend.. He loves Roopa immensely who in turn likes him too. Meanwhile, Manya falls in love with Akash after his various attempts of saving her from problems and his successful attempt of bringing Manya's grand dad out of his previous state of shock.
- The cadets go to a picnic in the jungle. There, Akash and Manya get lost in the jungle while trying to find a friend. The cadets are found by the senior teachers of the police academy but Akash is deemed to be eaten by a man-eating tiger. Om, who has learned to respect Manya for a determined police cadet, comes to know of Manya's love for Akash but never discloses it to anyone except for Manya's mom. Meanwhile, Manya's mom realizes that both Manya and Roopa loved Akash and both were unaware of each others' feelings towards Akash.
- Even more devastation is caused when the cadets get suspended. Om makes sure to look after Manya by either asking about her or by dropping by. Meanwhile, Manya's heart still does not believe that Akash was eaten alive. She investigates the case and comes to know that Akash's uncle was responsible for his family's death as he wanted to inherit all the property of Akash's dad and his brother. Since Akash had everything in his name after the so-called accident of his family that claimed all of them, Akash was the only one left that needed to be targetted. Hence, he hired a gang of goons in the jungle to kill Akash. His uncle is based in Dubai now. (This was the time when Abhay who plays Akash's role lost his father untimely and the creative team had to work around the story's concept to accomodate his 2 weeks long absence...)
- Manya goes back to the jungle and ends up saving Akash. She falls more in love with him after he gives his sword of honor to him. However, on valentines day, Akash proposes to Roops in a function and Roops accepts it. Manya was there to propose to Akash as well but is heart broken and the only people knowing about the state of her heart is Om and her mom.
- Roopa comes to know about Manya's love for Akash but Manya assures her that her happiness lies in Akash and Roopa's happiness. She takes a promise from Roopa that Roopa would never tell Akash about Manya's love for him.
- Manya's toughens up and goes through the rest of the semester of the academy focusing entirely on her professional career. The cadets are graduated and they leave.. Manya is assigned to the same police station where her dad was stationed back in the days and where he eventually lost his life. Manya's mom wants her to leave the job as she cannot take the loss of another loved one but Manya's grand dad supports Manya and tells her to keep her chin high up.
- Manya does not get the same respect of a police officer at her station for being a woman police officer. She reopens the case of her dad's death as everyone accuses Manya's dad to be involved in drugs and bribe when the truth is that Manya's dad was exactly like her.. Honest and hardworking to the core.. She wants to clean his name from any controversies around...
- Meanwhile, Akash invites Manya to his engagement with Roopa. In the party, Manya is asked to dance by Akash and while dancing, she faints and is saved by our current hero Karan. Karan takes an instant liking to her but she ignores him completely.
- Manya also keeps getting threatening phone calls at home that remind her to drop the case of her dad's death or she would be the next one on the hit list.
- We were led to assume that Karan has something to do with the people who are threatening Manya. It still has not been shown whether he actually likes Manya or has ulterior motives behind marrying her...
- However, he has been persistent in approaching her and soon enough, we will be seeing Karan marrying Manya..
and the story continues...
