im sorry but i dnt like ur word choice of 'deserting' ones family, because
firstly- when u die its not exactly ur fault, u do not chose to die, when ur time comes death takes u n thats that...so u cant say come1 deserts their family by dying...the only context i thnk that word can be associated with soem1s death is when they commit suicide...then yes u r deserting ur family, u r being selfish n thinking only abt ur emotions ur feelings n forgeting that no matter what ur prob is ur family loves u n by taking ur own life u r leaving them in grave misery...that is the context i can allow one to use 'deserting' one's family with regard to dyin not in any other!!
second- when u die, whether for ur country or otherwise, ur family is left in despair as it is...it is always hard to lose some1 u love n so u will be grief stricken...so u cant say that a bcz some1 is a soldier they leave their family in despair...bcz whether u r a soldier or a citizen ur death will leave ur family in despair regardless...as thats the harsh truth of life n death...that when death takes the one but leaves the rest behind to mourn after them...death leaves a big whole in every1s life that only time manages to heal n that too not completely for the absence of that perosn will always be felt but with time it stops hurting as much as u learn to live ur life without them...
third- the thing abt a Shaheed is that with their death u r left in despair, yes...but u also r left with Pride...like saleem's mother n nargis say...it is an honour to be the mother/father/wife/finacee/sister/brother of a a Shaheed...for they die protecting their country, their nation, their ppl and so it is a matter of Pride to be able to give ur life to a cause so great...as ranveer keeps on telling aaliya not every1 is blessed with this destiny, the destiny to serve ur nation, to be of use to ur country...to have the ability to affect change...very few ppl get that chance!!
n so yeah, aaliya is right also in saying that he leaves his family behind, sacrifices everything for his nation...yes, but the point is, as ranveer, nargis, nafeesa, da mom make, is that death makes any1 leave everything behind so when u have the chance to make that death count for something than y the hell not...countless ppl lose their lives everyday but unfortunately their death causes no change in the world only in their families lives...but when a soldier dies, yes the reason for his death may not be disclosed every1 n not a lot o ppl will be aware of the fact that a soldier died in action (like i will say i i dnt always know when every soldier dies) but the point is when he dies in action he dies defending his country n he helps protect his country thru his death...for example saleem dies stopping terrorists from entering the counrty so yes he is dead but atleast so r those terrorists...or if they r not than atleast they r wounded too n in custody...so his death means something it is for a cause n that too a good one.
hence the pride his mother feels n thats y she says that if i had another son i would not stop him from going off to protect the country...its not that she is not upset or is not worried abt his well-being ofcourse she is...she is a mom for crying out loud...wat she is saying here is that jst bcz it means that i may loose my son does not mean that i will stop him from protecting his, our country as their is no cause greater than that of being of use to some1 esp ur country...so yes her heart bleeds for the death of her son but that does not mean she regrets letting him enrol in the army as by doing so he is saving as well as protecting countless live including her own by keeping the border safe...her head is held high n she is Proud, as she should be, for being the Mother of a soldier, a Shaheed!!đ
sorry if my post got a lil too serious or offended any1 as i didnt mean to, this is my view n i respect that every1 has their own views, but this is mine n like every1 i have a right to share mine too đ
