No one in Amber's family has seen Dhani's face except for Madhu and Amber's dad. Madhu is in her sasural and Amber's dad doesn't see Dhani because she cover her face when he is around. Before the wedding they only sent Madhu to see her, and at the wedding her face was covered and no one saw her face, so that's why. I think she won't talk for that reason either because they might reconize her voice.
