VEIL. All of it is fake behind the veil. How could I not see through the veil of those perfidious hazel eyes? Honestly, I deserved it. I deserved it because inspite of being cheated twice in life I never learnt my lessons. I trusted once again.

Papa was right. Women - they use their infamous tears, sham concern and deceitful promises and concentrate all their emotional energy to attract men. And I, Randhir Singh Shekhawat, Rank No.1 fell for an over-smart conniving ex-enemy of mine. How foolish of me!

Farce it is. Her first words of concern for me, her gifting of memories for me, her tears for me, her possessiveness for me and her friendship for me. Undoubtedly she is a great engineer. Yes, ofcourse she engineered this ploy to perfection, didn't she?

Such a sorry state of mine. I had a whole bunch of back-stabbers' correction, front-stabbers in the name of friends and well-wishers. Vardhaan Sir - my teacher and mentor was the chief architect of this ploy. Parth - my friend and the person whom I thought understands me the most, was a mute spectator. Kaustuki - the girl whose dignity I saved at one point of time - the partner in crime. Everyone knew it. And are perhaps laughing at me right now, Rank No.1 Randhir Singh Shekhawat at a girl's beck and call. I may not have said anything to Yo Yo few days back when his friends' teased him with the same, but today I took out my frustration on him. Don't you dare take mine and that bitch's name together - I told him holding his collar. I could comprehend the look on his face, perhaps he couldn't recognize me. But neither could I. This hurt, devastated and horrid Randhir, I can't recognize the cantankerous wounded beast when I look at mirror.

Hulchul si har pal hai betaab apni jawaani hai

Bekal main bekal tu, bedard dil ki kahaani hai

The journey with Sanyukta swam like a film in my mind. Everytime I looked at her and grinned like a school boy, Darn! I am outnumbered in this betrayal and I am the one expected to listen. I am overweighed numbness and I am the one expected to understand. I confess I wasn't too happy earlier but I wasn't sad either. And some crazy dog has bitten me which made me feel. Enough! I learnt it. Hard way, but I learnt it. You can either be a hero or a villain. Anti-heroes die thousand befuddled deaths even before it occurs. Now what should I be? As I looked into the mirror again and saw my eyes icier than ever, I knew the answer.
