Hey friends, I think I took Aparna's post a bit too seriously. LOL! So, I've come up with a romantic scene of Vindiya. I think I should call it a mini fan fiction 'coz it's turned out to be a bit too long! Make sure you have your coffee with you when you start to read this post so that you don't fall asleep while reading my long post. Also have your Anacin or Tylenol with you, in case you have a headache while reading this scene. Ok, get ready for the grilling session, here it comes ........ hehe!
Bindiya accompanies Vinay on a road trip to Sonahari (credit: Ana) for bringing in new collection of sarees at reasonable prices from a wholesale saree dealer. Vinay's mom persuades him to take Bindiya along since she doesn't want him to travel all alone in his new car. Vinay finally gives in to his mom's wishes.
Vindiya leave home early after having their breakfast. It's a pleasant day outside and Vinay is at the wheels driving almost mechanically. The road to Sonahari is amidst a beautiful landscape with greenery all around. The birds are chirping while little butterflies are flying over beautiful flowers. But the situation inside the car is not very pleasant. Vinay is annoyed that he had to let Bindiya come with him. On the other hand, Bindiya has now become almost indifferent to his anger. It doesn't bother her anymore. She has left it to destiny.
They stop at a remote Mata Rani temple on the way. There's a mango grove near the temple which is guarded by some chowkidaar. He is having his afternoon nap. There are some kids trying to fall the mangoes with stones shot from a rubber string attached to the legs of a y-shaped wooden piece. (Sorry, I don't know the word for that thing .... let me know if you know .... the abbreviation for that is YSWP, ok?) But all their attempts are turning futile. One of the kids sees Vinay removing his shoes and goes up to him and pleads to help them fall the mangoes. Vinay smiles at last hearing an innocent request from the little kid. He goes with the kid. Meanwhile Bindiya is doing her puja in the temple.
Vinay aims at a ripe mango and shoots the stone from YSWP but it misses. He tries once more. Again it misses. He thinks to himself that the kids will ridicule if another attempt is unsuccessful so he better quit giving an excuse. He tells the kids that he is in a hurry. Saying this he hands over the YSWP to one of the kids and leaves the place. He climbs the steps to the temple while Bindiya climbs down. Both don't bother to see each other. Bindiya sees the kids aiming at the mangoes and joins them. She asks the kids if she can help.
Bittu: Chaliye, aap bhi koshish kar leejiye.
Bindiya takes the YSWP, closes her left eye, aims at one of the mangoes, pulls the rubber with stone and shoots. Tappp .... the mango falls and the kids rejoice clapping. The kids request: Didi, ek aur, ek aur .. Bindiya falls around 5-6 mangoes. She aims for the next mango. The kids are watching her aiming and turn to look in the direction of the mango she is aiming and back at her. Vinay is watching this from a distance.
Chotu: Didi, aap se pehle ek aadmi ne bhi koshish ki. Par vo to aam ko gira hi nahi paye.
Bindiya : Achha? Shayad unhe aam girana aata hi na ho. Saying this she shoots and tappp...falls the mango. Vinay hears what Bindiya said and is a bit annoyed that he couldn't do it. One of the kids (Pinki) sees him approaching them.
Pinki: Didi, oo dekho, vohi hai jo aam nai gira sake.
Bindiya turns around and sees Vinay. Vinay tries to defend saying that he was in a hurry and tensed so missed the target.
Pinki: Kahe liye jhoot bol rahe ho? Ab nai aata to nai aata.
Vinay is furious and grabs the YSWP from Bindiya, picks up a stone and shoots. It misses. Bindiya suppresses a smile while the kids burst out laughing. Vinay picks another stone and shoots. Unfortunately it hits chowkidaar's head and he yells out.
Chowkidaar: (from a distance) Ye shaitaan bachhe, abhi mazaa chakhata hu. Aaj choodoonga nai inko. Khoob pitai karoonga. The kids pick up all the fallen mangoes and run.
Bindiya: Vinayji bhagiye. She runs and hides behind a wide tree. Vinay is too shocked to run. His feet are almost glued to the ground. Bindiya yells out to him but he barely moves. The chowkidaar comes there and sees Vinay holding the YSWP.
Chowkidaar: O ... ee to bada bachha hai. Kahe bhaiyya, ka chori ka lat bachpan se hai? Dikhne me to shareef lagte ho par kaam dekho kaisa karte ho. Chalo, hum le chalte hai tumhe maalik ke pass. Ab oohi tumhara pooch-tach karenge.
Vinay: Dekhiye bhaisaab, hum to bachhon ki madat kar rahe the. Oo log bhag gaye. Hum paise de rahe hai na. Ee lijiye. Bas ... thik hai na?
Choukidaar : Is baar chod rahe hai, agli baar pakde gaye to âŚ.
Vinay and Bindiya are walking towards the car. Bindiya looks at Vinay and a little smile appears on her face. The she turns away and suppresses her laughter. Vinay notices Bindiya's smile and is irritated. Once again Bindiya looks at Vinay and breaks out in to laughter.
Vinay: Bindiya, bas karo. Bindiya starts laughing even more much to Vinay's irritation.
Vinay: Haso mat Bindiya. Nothing seems to stop Bindiya from laughing. Her laughter is echoing in the deserted woods. Vinay is now frustrated and grabs Bindiya's waist with one hand and locks her in his arm and blocks her mouth with the other hand and thus putting an end to her laugh. But her eyes are still smiling and slowly it fades off when she sees Vinay looking deep in to her eyes. Vinay's anger seems to be drowning in the deep ocean of Bindiya's eyes. All the images of her dance at the DC and the people whistling gets wiped out slowly while the images of her selfless love and devotion for the family emerges. A cool breeze is blowing giving company to Vinay's pounding heart and a romantic music plays in the background. (I prefer this one- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSWTgRMHP4Q) After a long eyelock, Bindiya lowers her eyes slowly and looks down. Vinay realizes what he was doing and releases his grip around Bindiya and steps behind embarrassed. Bindiya turns around and starts walking towards the car. Vinay sees her vanishing figure, slowly comes to his senses and proceeds towards the car.
That night at the hotel Bindiya sleeps peacefully while Vinay is wide awake with the moments of the day still haunting him. His heart and brain are arguing over Bindiya. Brain says that Bindiya insulted him and didn't care about his wishes while the heart recollects how the doctor told that Babuji condition is much better and his mom responding that it is all due to Bindiya's care, how she endured all the tortures inflicted on her by him, PPW and Akki, how easily she forgave all of them, how she has been instrumental in his success in business, how unconditional her love is towards the family and him and at last his promise to her: Hum tumhe kabhi pareshaan nahi karenge. Tears roll down Vinay's cheeks. He takes a pillow and digs his face in it and sobs silently unable to bear the conflict between his heart and brain. He falls asleep at last.
Next morning, Vinay wakes up hearing Bindiya's voice.
Bindiya: Ji Maaji, vo kal raat hum bahut daer se pahuche na, isliye aapko phone nahi kiya. Sab theek hai. Ji .. Ji.. Vinay is able to hear only one side of the conversation.
Bindiya: Maaji, jara Poonam ko bulaiye na. Humko usse baat karni hai. A smile lights up her beautiful face. Vinay is intrigued.
Bindiya: Poonam. Ha .. Ha.. Hum thik hai. Ab suno, ek mazedaar baat batate hai. Vo kal aam ke bagiche me pata hai ka hua... She turns around and sees Vinay staring at her. Vinay is surprised with Bindiya's intentions. Bindiya fumbles and tells Poonam that she'll call back later and cuts the call.
Bindiya: Aap kab utthe? Vo room service wala Chai dekar gaya tha. Leejiye.

That evening, after the meeting with the wholesale dealer, Vindiya go to Pizza hut to have their dinner. They are seated close to a window and having their French-Fries and coffee, waiting for pizza. It's not yet dark, the birds are chirping and a cuckoo is whistling somewhere nearby. The garden is full of flowers and water is trickling down a fountain in the front yard. The scent of the Rajnigandha flower has filled up the whole place. Bindiya is looking as beautiful as the nature and Vinay is mesmerised by her beauty. Bindiya is sipping her coffee while looking out of the window. Vinay has an involuntary fixed gaze on Bindiya. He is still disturbed by the heart-brain debate last night and confused with his emotions. A breeze blows in and Bindiya's hair strands fall on her face. She immediately turns her head around to stop her hair from flying and becomes aware of Vinay's gaze and looks sideways if someone is seeing them and then immediately looks down. The same music plays in the background. She picks up a piece of FF and takes a bite and looks at Vinay, stares for a while and then looks away. Vinay is embarrassed caught staring at Bindiya. He sips his coffee only to realize that the cup is empty. A tiny smile appears on Bindiya's lips. Pizza arrives. They have pizza while Vinay continues to gaze at Bindiya intermittently hoping to find a solution to all his problems and the camera zooms out of the window....
ADVANTAGE HEART!!! It took me pretty long to think about a new romantic scene and to write it. I'll be heartbroken if you tell that this was in some serial or movie .... hehe ....kidding. I'll say that it's a coincidence. đ On a serious note, I realized how difficult the script writer's job is. So, kudos to the writers who come up with wonderful scripts and all I can say when a script is bad then it a bad day for the script writer....
