Rakesh Bapat, popularly known as Neel in Saat Phere, is moving towards Canadian cinema. The actor is looking forward to do an English movie titled "If I Could Love You More…"
The plot of "If I Could Love You More…" revolves around a love triangle and according to Rakesh "it's a totally English movie. I'm playing an Indian whose name is Saahil, I think. The movie is a love story and the plot centers on my character."
The shooting will start in August and it requires Rakesh to be in Canada for a month. He bagged the role as he is already a famous face there:
"Saat Phere is very famous in Canada. They liked my character Neel over there. That's how I got the role for the film. Although unlike Neel in Saat Phere, I will be playing a positive character in this film."
As far as details on the script Bapat remains tight lipped:
"As of now I'm not going to reveal anything as I'm very superstitious about my projects so no comments."
How does Rakesh feel about leaving Saat Phere?
"It was a nice experience. However I will only miss my co-actors. I'm working with the same production house which is great because I like the production house very much."
Even though he is not doing Saat Phere he is busy with other work:
"Now that I have left Saat Phere I'm going to start shooting for my new serial Saathi Re after 10 days. I play a negative character called Prem in the show."
Would the actor consider working under the Balaji house?
"Ya definitely! If they approached me I would surely consider as I look at the script and not the production house. In addition to this, audience has appreciated my role in Saat Phere which has proven my worth."
Before venturing in to television Rakesh Bapat starred in numerous films like Tum Bin, Wrong Number and his latest which was Jai Santoshi Maa. All these failed to do well at the box-office. He found his success when he moved to the small screen as Neel in Saat Phere.
