It sometimes does not pay to be good

As painful as it is, it seems that it does not pay to be good always. Look at Suman. She was responsible for getting Prakar in the house. And what does he do? He trying to destroy the company and thereby hurt Rajeev.

She prevailed upon the elders of the Rawal Khandhan to allow Jignesh to stay in the house and asked them to help him financially. What is the result? Shalaka, his wife goes about instigating Tanu against her; stealing the mobile which had the infamous MMSes and sending them to all and sundry.

She kept Tanu's escapades a secret and lied to her mom-in-law about where she was. What does she get in return? She is accused by Tanu for being responsible for everything.

The moral of the story is it is not enough to be good but also one needs to be shrewd- not in the bad sense but ensure against others taking advantage of you.

i totally agree with you. there is always lakshman rekha line. if you cross it. it may do good or bad to you. see that one should not cross the lakshman rekha line like how suman has done.

Again nice topic optimist. I agree with u. but in this matter I must say suman and Rajiv both are sailing in same boat. As u say suman is responsible for getting prakar back to home, responsible for saving tanu from kul, stop jignesh from getting apart from the house. What she gain in return? Back stabbing from tanu and shalaka. I said in one of my post that suman has zero element of politics. She is too straight forward. That's why she is suffering for her being good to everyone.

Rajiv too is paying for his goodness to everyone. First take prakar's mother. Its because of him, prakar's mother reunite to her brothers. No matter she is very good lady but its because of rajiv's initiative first that prakar too get a chance to stay in the rawal family. What is he doing? Prakar is trying to destroy rajiv's family and his business and Rajiv too. Then take tanu. He loves all his siblings so much. So as tanu. What is she doing? She is destroying rajiv's married life by blaming suman. Rajiv always support jignesh. Again he went against him just because Rajiv didn't appoint him as the head for their new project. Jignesh also directly asked Rajiv to sacrifice for him by withdrawing the tender of the land. Rajiv agreed to it. Rajiv didn't marry to vishaka coz he didn't want to ruin her if as he loves suman. What he gain from shalaka and vishaka? Taunt and ill treatment to both suman and Rajiv.

So its not always to be good to everyone. Suman-rajiv needs to be shrewd so that no one will take advantage of their goodness for someone's selfish reason.
